Dear Dead Enders,

Yesterday I spawned in the Yhengs shop, left it and was about to continue a RP-line with Trish Orsini from the day before.

Without asking for my consent - or if I have time for such a RP - or if I want such a RP, another woman wanted to attack from the rear and carve the word Yheng in Lyss belly. Even while in my limits is written ´nothing permanent´ that would have been generally okay, I also tried to explain that to the player - but that I want to be asked - and if it is a longer RP line I want to know about it.
She refused to tell me about the RP and her employer OOCly, said some pissy things, called me a bad roleplayer for not wanting surprises and the RP pink not urban noir.
So: Playing a deviant I ask the people before jumping them, give a fair warning and ask about their limits if they have none in their picks. I also ask what kind of dark RP they like, some want more violence, others more manipulation and so on... because I want the RP fun for both. Further it makes the RP consensual and helps to avoid voiding a scene later - in my humble opinion.

Well I am no newbie but perhaps was away from RP too long. What is your opinion, is it pink to ask via IM for consent, limits and time - or is it just impolite force RP on people unasked - or should we accept every RP, not knowing when it comes and what the quality may be?
