OK I have been working on this for a while, and have got most of it going strong, but I want to share with everyone now that I have it going.. Changes to the DEPD to hopefully make everything nice and easy to manage and Rp.. This Should help everyone keep story going better..

Instead of having multiple squads like Vice, Robber, Homicide, SVU.> Ect ect.. we are now going to only have three..

Patrol: The are your rookies and officers.. they will be lead by a LT and two Sgts.. they are the uniformed officers who take care of daily stuff in Dead End.. I would like to have a rank between officer and SGT made to fit the ranked officers who enjoy the daily beat Rp but dont want to be officers forever.. These are the backbone officers of every PD in the world... Also, due to lack of officers all memebers of the DEPD are expected to spend time working patrol from the Capt all the way down to rookies.. Uniformed patrols once a week hurt no one and they might lead to a story..

SWAT: These officers have gone above and beyond in the world of butt kicking. Their job is to (( when available)) secure scenes insure safe passage for other officers to do their jobs. Raids and hostage situations should have SWAT involvement when at all possible.. The squad will be lead by a LT and two Sgts.. the SWAT tag is the entry level tag for this and is the ranking between officer and Sgt for the group..

Investigation: These are the Dick Tracy types.. Long hours investigating scenes and looking for evidence.. They do the CSU and they run the cases for long term offenders.. They work with the lawyers of the city to make sure that justice is brought to those who deserve it.. Also lead by a Lt and two Sgts the entry level rank for this is Detective with the CSU marker being used for specialists and "labrats". The Detective rank will be used as a rank to fill between Officer and Sgt, matching SWAT and the still unnamed patrol rank.

I hope this fills in a lot of the questions that might have arisen as I worked this out.. I am running the model after the HPD system with a few Dead End Specific issues being worked out.. The idea was brought to me by Aisha Blake and Zim, and I have been fine tuning it for a while now.. If you have any questions about this let me know here..

The reason for this change is because of the ever changing mix match of cops in DE.. I am addressing a problem of a lack of upper level support as best as I can... Smaller more focused groups should have at least one upper level officer handy at all times.

I am also working on ways to make it easier for a Investigation cop or a patrol cop to do SWAT and the other way around being the officer specializes in Investigation, and runs under that LT Sgt head for day to day work, but when SWAT is needed, then they answer to that lead officer for the scene at hand.. Hopefully this will make it easier to run different scenarios and still keep some sort of a command structure.. This is a trial thing, but hopefully it will keep the role as an officer more interesting..
