jade-calamitysaidIs DE too realistic? There comes a point where being too realistic is bad. Let's take the weather for example. It's based on RL weather conditions and will remain as such for at least a month or so. Yet we have people going to the hospital or jail and coming out in days. Their wounds are healed in days or maybe in a weeks time? A criminal serves their sentence in days. At least this is the impression I have when I see the same player back on the streets after a few days. The violence. This is another thing I feel is too realistic with DE. Some may say it's good but I don't agree. I came to DE because of the fun description it had in search: "Erotic & Immersive Urban Roleplay | forced sex kidnap fantasy role-play city police crime asylum prison BDSM bondage capture CARP rlv rape sex fuck criminal prostitute slave biker drugs cult fetish gangs adult deadend" I did not come to DE to see extreme forms of violence as I saw at the Winter Carnival. I personally hope that was a one time thing but I fear it's not. I didn't come to DE to be nearly murdered either which happened more than once. This is not exactly the kind of trouble I was looking for in DE. Now before anyone claims I might have a weak stomach, let me inform you that I have done the extremely violent acts in other RP sims. I've gutted people and mutilated them. None of it was enjoyable but I have done it. I don't come to DE to relive such things. Now yes DE certainly has the immersion and some eroticism yet not much of the kidnap/forced kind. I'm sure there will be some disagreeing with that but with my time spent on the sim (2-3 months in total). I've had had one kidnapping and that ended with the kidnapper voiding the RP. Now yes there has been kidnappings and such but it's always revolve around the same players. There is 4 or 5 that quickly come to mind that are always in trouble and you know that is great for them. I'm glad they can keep that going. I wish I could gain that kind of attention. Yet I am not the only one who is stuck on this same boat. With my time spent on the sim I have seen numberous "innocents" come and go. I say this because I'm a regular on the sim. I know who's here almost everyday and I can spot the new ones. I never see them again. Why? Where they like me who expected a heavy kidnapping themed place and got a realistic urban setting with minor amounts of kidnapping? I am not proposing that things be changed. Hell I don't expect anything to be changed. I am just looking for some acknowledgment that I'm not the only one feeling this way. |
