I'm thinking about giving this a go this year. Has anyone else ever done it; or planning attempting it next month? (http://nanowrimo.org/ if you don't know what I mean)

I'm feeling really inspired thanks to my time in DE so far. So thanks to everyone who has RPed with me for helping me to grow as a writer. The question is; whether to start afresh... or to make an attempt on writing the complete backstory of Ruby before she came to Dead End. I've been tempted to do this for awhile. I think from the bones of the backstory I plucked out of nothing there's a good story to be had, albeit perhaps a bit dark in places.
