TYPE: Cult

MEMBERS: mitternachtvernichtung , jaylah sass

BACKGROUND: Rising from the ashes like a phoenix the Adherents of Belial has been under the leadership of Dion Lambert for as long as people can remember, but Dion has left because of troubles with his kids. This means someone has to spread the flame of truth to Dead End, and that torch was passed to Jess Corven. The cult has a long history of making its money in less than honorable ways, from the porn studio BDP to drug deals the Adherents need to make their way through the world. Of course, with Jess at the helm this trend promises to continue. As for structure, the multiple houses theory will no longer stand. The Adherents are going to join as one cohesive unit to bring the teachings to the good people of the city. The structure will become like that of the wolf pack. There may be some work on this in the future but for now it is very alpha to omega based. This will be based on in sim activity and how much you actually do as a member. The cult’s practices of long-term brain washing will come to a halt, with loyalty that is earned overcasting loyalty through higher narcotics. That doesn’t mean that no one will be brainwashed or drugged into submission, but long term members, who are part of the inner circle will have to prove their loyalties.

FLAW: There is a lot infighting between the group members first while they figure things out, and secondly without the set “prophet” in Dion there may be a change in the values and beliefs of the Adherents. Another possible flaw would be that everyone in town knows the group and has an instant distrust for them, the history works against them. What will help you as a leader. Jess has been leading in the cult for a while, I have also been leading while Dion has been gone and called to Real Life. I don’t want to see Dion go, but his Rl comes first and there will be expected visits from the prophet.

POTENTIAL ENEMY: mostly the whole sim is at odds with the cult already but I hope that we can get out there and cause more trouble now that things get back in order of having a lead

EXPERIENCE:I am part of the story weaver team and Dion had it set up to where I was lead of my part of the cult to bring in new recruits, but I would like to think as a story weaver most of the things I want to plan on doing with the cult will have a lot to do with the sim as well. I want to see this group thrive and drive story

IDEAS:We plan on having a preacher character soon who is the vocal mouthpiece of the cult. This person is not afraid of meeting new people and corrupting their very souls. We want to make sure that the cult’s plots have everything to do with random people. It can be super evil or just a random street snuggle because someone looks bored. Jess is that kind of person. There are a lot of sim plots in the works and since Jess is a Story Weaver he has the resources to really make things happen.
