Im getting a truck load of complaints (ok.. maybe a basket load) about my new rookies.. most of whom are clueless and some who could use something more like guidelines on RP 101.
The rookies apps are coming in thick and fast atm (it goes in cycles like that) but we seem unable to keep up with the influx of recruits before they hit the streets and start doing weird stuffs. ((we do have an on-boarding process in Pd to help get them n the streets and in the thick of good RP as fast as possible with confidence - in case you were wondering))

My problem is more this.. I have no clue where these people have come from.. they dont appear to have even RP-d in DE (or anywhere) before joining the force.

so

Can we not add a clause in somewhere that states that in order to join the PD or FD , they must RP in DE for about a week before they can join / be approved to these key groups.

This gives mentors time to work with them, or them time to get to know how RP operates in DE or even attend an RP basics class if such things exist. Better to help prepare them for life elsewhere in the DE institutions.
