BACKSTORY: I have been in DE for almost a year now and in that time I have never seen the massage parlor busy or thriving. Only a few people here and there, and many times it was just employees taking their lover there to play. When I first started in DE I was very active in the red light district, so I was around to see the parlor empty. The red light district in general is much less active than it was in the past, and I would want to see it start thriving again. My hopes are to help make this happen by making the massage parlor active. Right now it is rare that someone actually comes in for just a plain old massage and not the sex. I think there are so many interesting RP ideas and concepts for the parlor without starting with the brothel aspect of it. I would want to start making the parlor more about the massage aspect that could later lead to the sensual and sexual stuff. I believe it is more realistic to have someone come in for a massage and possibly be -offered- special treatments (the sexual stuff).

UNIQUE: DE already has so many places that are based strictly on the sexual aspects of RP, especially in the red light district. I want to make the massage parlor an opportunity for those who would like to lead up to sex or just a plain old non-sexual RP (yes some people do like that from time to time). I have been RPing with the whole non-sexual aspect of the massage and working on turning the client on... building him or her up to the point that he or she wants more. At that point he or she has the opportunity to ask, mention, or hint at wanting more, but he or she could also leave with just a simple massage but craving more, which would bring him or her back into the parlor.

EXP:I have been RPing for more than 15 years in one form or another. My first av in SL is 8 years old now. This av (Amy) has been around for almost 4 years, and she is my main av now. I have been in DE for nearly a year now, but before that I was constantly an active RP'er in Gorean, Sci-fi, and western sims. About 90% of my time in SL is spent RPing. I have owned sims, owned clubs, managed clubs, and been an administrator of sims. I have never ran a business in DE, but I have worked at LuLu's for quite some time and now the parlor. I am looking for something to keep me busy and active in DE and to really make my home here.

IDEAS:Offer freebies and discounted rates for police and fire departments because they have such stressful and demanding jobs. This would also be a way for us to help keep the PD off the trail of the sexual aspect by bringing them in and giving them a "legit" experience. We could also slowly work up to a more sensual massage with officers once they start showing interest. This would help keep the PD off the trail if we had more officers on our side because they too were special clients. I also want to work with the hospital by offering therapeutic services to injured patients. This would allow a more realistic treatment for injuries if the individual chooses to continue the RP. If hospital staff also knew of the seedier side of the parlor they could even refer patients with sexual dysfunctions to the parlor for help. I want to offer gift certificates for massage or other services to other businesses for raffles, contest giveaways, ect. (Casino, Dark Room, ect). We could also team up with other businesses, such as the salon for specials on a day of pampering. I would use my giveaways, specials in the newspapers, coupons, word of mouth, and flyers for promotion.

OTHER:I have done research on how to give a proper normal massage as well as the sensual massage. If I am allowed to run the parlor, I plan on making note cards to distribute to employees to help everyone have a better understanding of the ways of massage and the areas to focus on and not focus on. If the employee knows the areas to avoid it could even add to the RP experience by accidently, or even intentionally massaging areas he or she shouldn't that potentially could cause pain or damage to rivals.
