BACKSTORY: The plan is to have this business operate as both a legitimate shop front, used for importing and exporting goods in and out of Dead End, as well as an illegal gambling ring. P.I.E co standing for Pagliacci's Import Export company (Pagliacci being the name of my character who will run the business) So, people working in this shop (who I envisage will principally be myself) will take bets on sporting games/matches, the idea being to take bets on games that correspond to the rl NFL and Premier league football (soccer) fixtures each week. The bets will be a simple win/lose/draw format with lower/higher odds depending on favouritism etc. I think this will facilitate role-play for a couple of reasons: It is a very simple premise with which people can come in and open up a chain of dialogue that, given the reference to rl, removes some of the ambiguity and an easy reference point to start all manner of conversations. There is still the legitimate side of the business, which I would be happy to correspond with other business leaders etc/role players on importing/exporting goods, turning a blind eye to what the delivery contains. The accumulation of gambling debts which can be repaid/collected through forced prostitution of themselves or a loved one/friend. 'Favours' for the business owner and employees and perhaps taking care of a few of the people the business owes money too, Alternatively debts could be sold to individuals/factions at a reduced price for them to collect, e.g. if someone owes $1000 sell it for $500 to someone with the muscle to collect it.

UNIQUE: Obviously the casino is a venue where role-playing gambling can and does take place, however I feel that the mode of gambling/betting that will take place at this business is sufficiently different to not infringe or replicate the role-play that happens there. But as far as I am aware no other business operates/provides the aforementioned services to the members of the Dead End community. Happy to be advised otherwise.

EXP:A reasonable role player who has been lucky enough to get to know a few of the more experienced members of the community, and happy to help out or pass on any tips that people ask for. A pretty easy-going chap, who is very approachable (I think), and happy to lend a hand where I can. Having said that, happy to admit that I still have a lot to learn

IDEAS:The business will be based in Chinatown, close to the central arrival point for newcomers, and as much more than happy to assist anyone who needs a helping hand. And through my own actions hopefully promote a high standard of role-play within the community
