Dick's Halfway Inn
BACKGROUND: I would like to take the Inn into a full service type of motel. Yes, overtime I would like to go into the prostitution business and use the Inn has my cover. Starting off I plan on working with local hookers to help us both with business. Building a relationship and slowly overtime adding them to my roster, where I will call them when needed and take a percentage of their earnings. It will also be just the typical type of motel for those needing a place to lay their heads and not looking for anything more. We will have both nightly and hourly rates for our customers. Work with the other businesses to bring and keep people into the RLD. One great way would be working together having a monthly street party, all the businesses working together to make sure its a hit.. I would also love hold regular sex parties at the motel for the whole city. I’m thinking masquerade on the court yard with lots of alcohol and doing a ‘key’ type drawing ((I will give each person a number and use a random drawer online to pick numbers)) to partner people up, sorta like a swingers type thing, but you don’t have to be partnered to join in the fun. On these event nights I will make all room rates half price for those who participate in the drawing. Employees who come to the Inn will be part of a team. I hope to incorporate what happens daily into each characters story, making the Inn become apart of each employee who chooses to join our team. As for new players, they will come right in and feel welcomed. I hope if they are having a problem integrating into a story line the events will help them meet new people and create their perfect story. Brandi herself is a secretive person, she has a past that she is hiding from. Being a bit of an alcoholic she might come with drama at times in management, but overall she will work hard to keep the Inn running. As a manager she will keep a constant eye on her staff, making sure each and everyone does what she needs done.
UNIQUE: Being the only Inn in town it stands out on its on for this. My idea is to build my own story around working at the Inn. By doing this I will spend the majority of my time online at the Inn. I'm hoping just have a presence will help the business build RP. But I know events are a big part in bringing in people. The events I throw at the Inn will be exciting,monthly parties to bring out your naughty side each with its own theme, since we are in the RLD. Having swinger like parties, mixing people up with strangers or just someone they don’t like can always bring excitement.
EXPERIENCE:Brandi has not experience in management so she will be going at this by heart and what she feels best. She will screw up (she does drink a lot) but don’t we all at some points in life. As for her typist, I’ve never ran an Inn or really any business. I am a military spouse and mommy. I run a family in RL lol. I am a go getter, I like to try new things. I work well with others, I’m easy to get along with, just a nice person all around. I have no issues helping others out.
IDEAS:I am a very friendly person, I rp with anyone, and those who need help I have no problem helping. I will make new players and employees at the Inn feel welcome. For employees I want to make sure to meet all new employees, doing interview. Mostly to get all the employees on the same page. I will encourage (of course this is up to each individual, if they want to play only within the characters role,ie. just a maid that cleans room. This is fine too) all my employees to go beyond their normal duties, making certain every ones stay here is memorable. Also, for those who just sign up and start when I'm not on, I would like to be able to give a notecard from the hiring sign, if possible. This way they will know some basic information, like prices both hourly and nightly and if anything inoperable ect. I'm not going to be a pain to work for, at least at not first. My character is still learning the area, the people see knows she needs people to like her.
OTHER:For the Grand Opening I’m thinking of starting with a soft opening within the first two weeks. This will be where I send out invitations to local businesses and invite management, a few locals over for a few drinks at the Inn. Maybe getting with another business to cater some food for the soft opening. Once again, reading and learning the people around me. Invite the press so they can see the new Inn, staff and meet me of course :). Although this will be invite only soft opening, I am fine and even encourage crashers. I plan to raffle off a few tickets to those in town, with not only a soft open invite, but also winning a night at the Inn. As for the Big Grand Opening. I would like to have a huge party, dancing, drinks. Maybe, even go with a carnival like theme, if I can get permission from the city to close down the road a few hours. Put out some booths for games, or vendors. I would even go to local businesses and see if they would be interested in sponsoring a booth (ie. for food or to set up items they have for sale). The whole City will be welcomed, we will have a drawing for a free two night stay at the Inn. If I can get a few volunteers, auction off people for a ‘date night’ what happens on your ‘date’ is up to you. I would also like to have someone cut the ribbon so to speak. Someone well known in town, like a mayor or a ‘star’ of some sort.
