warumono-modesaidDEPD TYPE: SLURL: BACKGROUND: As leader, what direction would you take this business towards? Please include ideas for regular events, how you would make new employees feel included, and how your character would fit in as management. Roxy would not try to change the DEPD because she knows that sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Criminals are terrorists to her and need to be stopped at all costs. She knows everyone thinks she is this incorruptible "White Knight", but in truth although she knows what really goes on behind closed doors, she turns a blind eye to it. She just doesn't get caught at the things she does. She is smart.. She uses her subordinates to take care of it more or less. It is her way of keeping her hands clean in the public eye.. (Unless it can not easily be swept under the rug. That can be a problem. Even then she will do everything in her power from making deals to making the person regret even complaining.) She is already a Lieutenant who worked her way up by hard work. She dishes out her own punishment to officers who do things that would make the DEPD look bad to the general public. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It is one thing to her if you want to be a bad cop, but it is another if you bring on public outcry. As a training officer, she already tries to help out all new recruits. She is always on call. Roxy is in work every day and tries to make the DEPD run smooth. As for event's she would like to get more court RP going with the law offices. Also would like to do town hall meetings to hear the fears and concerns of the public. UNIQUE: How will you make this business stand out from the others? I would try to get the officers to do more raids and in depth investigations. Have training days where the officers could learn the more tactical side of police work and report writing. Poor reports are Roxy's IC pet peeve. Fastest way to lose a court case. In fact she has been know to fudge a report or two in her favor or the criminals. She knows all the lawyer tricks and could easily get someone out of trouble if she wants something from them. I also want to get more in tune with the DA's office. Set up regular court hearings and even night court for minor offenses. She is already making deals with the bail agents to give them business and warrants. Recently she has been looking for someone to do some dirty work for her as sometimes justice is not served in DE. She wants to start a goon squad stacked with officers who don't mind bending the rules or even breaking them. EXPERIENCE:What personal qualities or past experience do you think will help you as a leader? EXPERIENCE:I have been the Lieutenant at the DEPD for over a year now. I run a tight ship, but I hope people find me tough but fair. Roxy is never a bully or heavy handed. She tries to mentor officers, and will always make time for questions. Not once has she ever blown someone off. If she is in the middle of something she would still make time for you. As for personal experience, I have been in law enforcement for over 22 years in real life. I know how police departments are run, how to investigate crimes and crime scene. And even though I know the DEPD is supposed to be corrupt, players still should know how to be officers. After all there are victims out there who need help as well as villains who need punishment. On a personal note, I know a lot of people think Roxy is too nice to be in charge, but that is her leadership style. She doesn't feel the need to be abusive all the time, but that doesn't mean she will be walked on. She has been known to kick ass and take names later. Most people don't know it but Roxy has a dark side too, she just isn't public about it. And that is how bad cops should be. Very under the radar. There is never any OOC drama from me, the player of Roxy. Most know I am easy going and accommodating. I never start trouble and if someone has an issue I have no problem talking to the in IMs. I never ever go over local with ooc drama. Just like I would rather not correct an officer in public. I will play with most anyone. Even if I don't like someone or they cause drama, i never blacklist them. Taken someone aside and talking rather than blowing up is always better and will usually work out better than contacting an Admin. I have many many years of RL experience defusing volatile situations. IDEAS:How do you plan to engage new players on the sim or who sign up for your business? As Always, Roxy tries to give a new people a run down of how the DEPD works, From wearing the uniform properly to writing a report and prisoner processing. She tries to be a mentor, but they do not have to be white knight, they could be black knights for all she cares as long as they do what they do their job.. I also engage the other businesses and criminals who are locked up. Nothing worse than being in jail for 3 days with no RP. I am always around. Every day. Just an IM away. Unless I am afk or at my rl job, you can always get me. Roxy engages most of the other businesses, even if they are shady, There is a method to her madness. OTHER:What would you do for a grand re-opening event if I was approved? Perhaps an open house party, ride alongs, town meetings or a meet the officers article in the paper. |
