BACKGROUND: BACKGROUND: Vie has been a very active part of the DEFD for over a year now, she has made her way through the ranks, starting at the bottom and working her way to her current position of Senior Captain. She started her work in the DEFD to be able to spend more time with her then husband, because being the worrisome Fire wife at home had worn on her fragile nerves entirely too much. Once she got all of her training in, and went to her first Fire the girl was hooked, the flames that flickered along the walls of the building daring to do just as they wished free to dance in the wind, much like Vie thought she was free, the smell of the smoke in her nostrils, and the thrill of danger drew her further in. The medic runs, tugging at her heart strings every time she came onto a scene where someone had been injured, attacked or chose to take their own lives, helping others had always been a part of her, it has always been a known fact that the Bookshop Lady took in anyone that needed shelter, money, or anything else for that matter, being a medic just furthered that drive in her, and she truly just fell in love with helping people around DE. While things did not work out with her being able to work with her then husband more, she did get to work with her best friend Lucas. The two were a team from the beginning from training and calls, to patrols and everything else in between, while the pair fought on more than one occasion, it was undeniable they worked together very closely and always had the others back, I so very hope for this to continue. Autobots Roll Out! At the end of the Day she knows she is where she belongs with the DEFD, the job calls to her so to speak, and she would not know what to do without The DEFD and her crew. IDEAS: I would love to get the community more active with the FD, rather than it just being citizens seeing us on calls I want to see us out in the community regularly. I have so many ideas, and this is just a short list of things that I have thought up during my time in the FD: Firefighter for a day events or job shadowing, possibly working with the PD for a work release program. , half naked window washing, Fireman olympics, openhire days, fd/pd battles (basketball, jousting, and races. all for charity of course), Fire games, more rescues in town. Rent a firefighter. kissing booths, booze on the FD days. Also I would like to try to get some RP going with trainings for things like snow emergency protocol, so that hopefully the DEFD can get some state funding for new and improved equipment. There are so many great things that can be done with this Public Service of DE.
UNIQUE: UNIQUE: I believe that vie will bring a certain flair to the DEFD while being chief. She is headstrong stubborn, and can be down right mean. however, that being said she can be one of the nicest people around. She is bright and sunny, just as quickly as she can be a dreary rain cloud. She is very loyal to her family, or crew, but also isn't out to be best friends with any of them, Though she will care about each of them and pull them into the station for one on one meetings often. She will strive to create new and improved training courses, to get her crew thinking on their feet. She isn't a stranger to Crime, and when she closes your business down for fire code violations, you can bet she will take a bribe.. sometime so little as a bag of gummy bears. She will want to be out in the town meeting people, finding new places where fires might ‘accidentally’ start.
EXPERIENCE:EXPERIENCE: I have been a sim business lead for going on almost two years now, with the same business, Pharaohs Secondhand Books, I know the question will arise on if I will be giving that business up, so I will touch on that here. I do not intend to give up the bookshop, it is not a SIM run business and I honestly feel like between me and the staff that I have in the bookshop, it will still get plenty of roleplay, and events will still be done monthly. I have also been a mentor and mod of DE for a while, doing my best to help, coach, and resolve issues with people OOCly daily. I do also have some Real Life training in emergency management. As well as belonging to the FD and holding the captain position, for better of nine months now, in doing that I have done a lot of behind the scenes things with the DEFD such as: running scenes and fires, as well as working with the Citizens of DE in helping plan the behind the scenes aspect of the Fire role plays.
IDEAS:OTHER: Just a quick note here, I as a role player, have grown to love the Dead End community, and I strive very hard to involve as many people as I can in RP perhaps not all at once, but my goal is always to include people into my story, in whatever way that I can, be it through FD training, and helping new players learn their way around the town, or Meeting faces that have been around forever, and finding a new reason to get them involved on a path they may not have thought for themselves at first. It is very important to me to seek out new people and start new story lines, this place is like my family, I love being a part of the comradery that we have, and would love to continue to expand my own story lines, as well as continue to create lasting friendships with you all.
OTHER:WE have already been in talks with the Pd for a gala in February, but as a new lead taking over the Fd I would like to have a second event. What I was thinking was a way to get the DEFD out in the community, so y'all can meet us, if you dont know who we are already, let you get up close and personal, a Hands on approach so to speak. So i was thinking of pairing up with Ren at the Cinema to host a Fire fighter auction where DE can win themselves one or more of the DEFDS finest for an evening, I am thinking of getting with Ming at Hung Dragon to cater in food, and Jennie at Lulus to supply booze for the evening.
