shade-manxsaidAlright I am being a bit overzealous about this in the title.. But I have been hearing that a lot of people are telling the cops simply... "Nope, you dont have that evidence" I get that you want to not have to sit in jail but lets look at this from our few officers point of view for a moment.. Hi.. I am officer Autumn CrowWing.. My job is to..... Be corrupt I am hearing complaints from various officers that these are the expectations of the PD from the average and in a few cases lead players.. They refuse to give up evidence of any kind.. I dont recall having this trouble when I was a more active member of the DEPD but maybe its just me.. I'm not here to get on my soap box, but I have to ask the question.. Why is this a problem suddenly? There is no such thing as the perfect crime.. Maybe some classes on how to Rp an investigation might be in order, but there has to be a change in attitude.. Just because someone wore a mask, doesnt mean that they can't be spotted other ways.. Traits.. There are two kinds of traits. Changeable and non changeable traits.. Such as.. Mandy Corven Doctor and sociopath is 5'7" tall and she weighs 115 pounds.. She has gray eyes and blonde hair.. No tattoos, A Texas accent, and usually smells like chemical cleaners.. Out of that list.. things that can not be changed in a moment. her height weight and the tats.. Everything else is a changeable trait... Eye color can be changed with the correct contacts.. hair can be dyed.. Now lets say Mandy has tats.. they can be changed,, but its not a fail safe. So if your character is wearing a mask.. and doent bother to change their voice.. you will sound like you to people who know you.. if you didnt post it you didnt do it.. Bummer but its the facts... if you didnt cover your tats.. Guess what.. They are in your skin and they are an easily identifiable feature.. Its just been coming to my attention a lot that this has been a rising issue.. No one player is getting their finger pointed at.. But there are a lot of players getting noted for acting in this manner.. PLEASE Play fair PD this is for you as well... Making up evidence Icly is one thing.. Its what gets the wheels of justice rolling in DE, but at the same time.. Make sure that your witnesses ect were actually IC before hand.. I've seen people testify to seeing something and they were three blocks away around a corner.. IF anyone has any other tips and thoughts on the subject please speak now.. I love the PD and I lvoe to play a cop.. But its a burner of a job if people treat you OOC like they try to treat you ICly |
