Faerie LindleysaidDATE: 08/09/13 PROPOSAL BY: Keiran Foxclaw GROUP NAME: Pharaoh's Secondhand Books TYPE: private business SLURL: Teleport BACKSTORY: Originally, when we started dreaming up the Meme, we threw around ideas for different types of unique businesses that would fit into the DE theme. At the time, we had a bookstore, more or less, and in the interest of not stepping on anyone's toes, we decided to go a different direction. Now, that the old bookstore is gone, the idea kind of blew to the surface again, as I have watched the Meme, and seen that it isn't as busy as it could be, or that people don't necessarily need the access to the internet, with private cell phones and their own laptops. So, with the original idea of a meeting place still the focus, I thought i'd like to try flipping the store from internet cafe to bookstore. Personally, I'm ready to put Keiran back out there as a character, so it would be him fronting and running the business. The times i have been down in the meme have really been met with successful rp, and I'd like to further it more, with some new props and themes for the store. UNIQUE: I'd love to see the Meme go out with a bang. The idea is to generate some rp through an electric fire/arson or a break in and robbery. RP wise, there are thousands of dollars of electronics in there. It would be alot of fun to see it all go up in smoke, or have it all stolen, and spend some time going through the "rebuilding" process in character. Personally I'm leaning towards arson, but i am a firefighter, and that stuff makes me happy. The end result is to be a redone shop, grunged up a little, different prims- we'll take out the computers and add book shelves, and hopefully try to make it a better place to hang out. It was really a spring board i needed, and I'm ready to let it evolve. It's a personal labor of love at this point, and I'd like to play it up to my character's love of books, as he'll be the up front in person, shop keeper, as opposed to before, when he was a silent partner. EXP: I have been a member of the DE community for going on three years now. My DE sins and virtues are well known by all. ๐ IDEAS:Just think of how many members of the DE community need to earn their GED. I could make a killing offering hooked on Phonics. Plus, studies show it's a fact people who know how to spell are more likely to get their tattoos spelled correctly. Hoping this would play into some fun rp with Irezumi. Right now the idea is to try and find the right feel for an alternative hang out to Lulu's. I've always been willing to sponsor and host events for the sim, and have a lot of fun and success doing so. I'd like to focus more on helping develop long term plot for the sim, since i think that's where we need the most help. OTHER:This store is always willing to be a front for the Dead Rabbits, which gives them a place up town to conduct their business out of. With the arrival of new factions, bases of operation for each gang are more important then ever. It would make me very happy to see the rabbits coming in and out of the place, and using it as much as possible. It makes for another layer of rp we can add to that location, which is great. |
