Ruthorford ResidentsaidI am needing to ask because I am becoming very confused and am feeling quite the fool for convincing a friend to not leave and give the DE sim another chance because it, well, had a grungy urban atmosphere like what was advertised. However, I am not certain as to what the rules here are because the rules as stated in the informational page for Dead End do not seem to be in effect for everyone. I am asking for a clarification here because we keep trying to pull a couple of story lines with 'long story' RP'ers into this sim because of the atmosphere here and keep getting slapped in the face by the actual atmosphere as it currently exists in the Alterscape worlds and loosing our rp'ers. Some of the problems I did not believe until I saw them in action, but they involve personal roleplay treatment of individuals and do not involve the sim. However, some things I do need a clarification on before deciding whether to invest time and money into this sim. A few examples; are 'furries' allowed? I have seen some furries without the OOC title above their head run off but ones with OOC above there head in here for hours. Granted, the furries with OOC obove their head stayed inside of private areas, but some of the furries run off were in secluded, unused areas of the sim. The vehicle rental page states to avoid having expensive sports cars that stand out like sore thumbs and are out of place, yet I log in and the streets are full of exactly that. Also, a tiny dick girl dressed as a child with play ears driving a big-wheel on the streets? Outside of the obvious pedophile connotation, this is allowed? I have had friends scolded for using the shout command because that is not used in DE because it disturbs others RP, yet just last night someone was using exactly that for your 'elections'. I have had RP'ers harassed out of DE with godplay and metaplay who have refused to do any part of our stories that would involve alterscape worlds. Cutting it short, this sounds like a complaint, and for a small part I guess it is. However, I am not asking for everyone to change what they are doing to suit us. Everyone is here to have fun and you do what you wish to do. What I am asking: please tell me what the REAL rules for DE are so I can make an educated decision as to whether or not to invest in Alterscape worlds with both time and money. I love the design and areas that actually deliver the advertised atmosphere and would love to be able to bring in others. But having them chased off by a sim that is not as advertised or simply meta/god harassed out is getting tiresome. Should I simply give up on Alterscape? |
