Hello Dead Enders! This message is brought to you by your staff team. Spay and Neuter your pets.

Sim wide weapons rules are as follows:
NO GUNS (This may change in the future if y'all can handle these weapons rules). All blades must be 10'' or under. No projectiles of any sort (unless it wasn't meant to be projectile... such as throwing a beer bottle). Throwing knives and other small tossable sharps are okay. Anything electrical must not have more power than a hand held tazer. Police are the only ones allowed to have projectile tazers. No armor, no military grade weaponry. No explosives/fire without Admin approval. Weapons considered excessive or uncommon still require Admin approval for specific scenes. Common sense is incredibly freaking important here. Please keep in mind that we are an urban, poor city.

HOWEVER. If you want to get a little creative and have good reason, we are trying a new approach.
When choosing a weapon for a scene, ask yourself the following questions:
WHERE did you get it/are hiding it?
HOW well are you able to use it?
WHY are you using it?

For instance if you are in the Auto Repair shop you are perfectly able to find a tire iron and use it as a weapon in the current scene. BE MINDFUL OF YOUR RP PARTNER! Communication is key here, so please communicate with whom you're fighting with that you'd like to use that tire iron. You should not be picking up unusual weapons just for a joyride down the street, you should have good reason for that specific scene and keep in mind your characters ability to use it.

Potential Game Ending weapons - if it is realistic for you to grab it, remember that you should probably miss just as common courtesy to not completely obliterate someone else's character. We all put a lot of thought into our characters and most of us probably don't want to die. If you come at me with a chainsaw, chances are I am not going to let you hacksaw all of my limbs off. Short of powergaming, this just is incredibly uncool and you should leave your posts extremely open to dodging or fucking up.

Sim Moderators are now allowed to answer questions and approve probable weaponry should an issue arise. Anything unusual still needs Admin approval.

What this boils down to is we are asking you the people to really THINK when it comes to weapons. It is physically impossible for us to compile a direct list of what's allowed and what isn't, because people will always manage to come up with something. Be prepared to answer the three important questions and keep it within the urban/grunge theme of Dead End.

If you are in a scene and debate a weapon of your partners choosing, communicate with them! If that fails, and you feel it necessary, please call a sim moderator! MODERATORS can be found by asking in OOC or by deadend.sl/help

And lastly, remember that Admin has final say no matter what. Even if the rules don't explicitly say.

Have fun kicking the shit out of each other!
