AnonymoussaidThe first thing most people notice about Valendia is just how tall she is. At six feet she towers above most. Long shapely legs, pleasingly wide hips, an ample but not overly large bust, she has a classic hourglass shape. The second thing people notice is how quick she is with a genuiely warm smile, that lights up the delicate features of her face. Her hair falls like golden rain on her shoulders. and the scent of lilac and vanilla permiate the air around her. She is a small town girl, and from the time she was a little girl she wanted to be a dancer. Posters of famous dancers hung on her wall, and her parents enrolled her in both dance and gymnastics classes at the age of five. By the time she was in high school, the walls of her bedroom were lined with trophies from dance competitions, but it had become apparent that there were problem with her chosen profession. The first was her height. At almost six feet, most of her male partners couldn't loft her overhead, and she was constantly being told to keep her weight down, and the second was the pain in her knees. A trip to the doctor told her that the years of hight impacts had damaged them severly and at some point she would need surgery to correct, and in all likelyhood she would not be able to continue to dance, much less professionally. Undeterred, she continued with auditions, and stared in many local productions. She competed in local beauty pagents where she either won or was first runner up, and she was on the cheelleading squad where she made captain.. She seemed to be on her way despite the physical problems she was expericancing, but in her senior year of High School all that changed, when both her parents were killed in an auto accident. Devistated at the death of her parents, she was forced to move in with her father's brother Jimmy. She never much cared for her uncle Jimmy, and even at a young age the way the man looked at her made her nervous. After she moved in it was worse. The way he looked at her when she walked through the house was down right creepy, and on several occasions she found him standing in the bathroom as she stepped out of the shower. Ultimately, he tried to rape her. A swift kick between his legs got his attention, and she gathered what things she could carry and left, never to return. For the last month of high school she stayed with various friends, and it was at one of these houses that she met Rick. Rick was taller than she, muscular and had an enigmatic personality, he was also ten years older than she. Regardless, she fell in love with him and soon they were inseperatable. Rick had connections, or so he said, and promised to get her auditions "with the right people." At first things seemed to be going well, as she landed several parts around the state and it seemed a move to New York was inevitable, but Rick wouldn't hear of it. "Living in New York was expensive", He'd say, and they needed to save money to do that. In addition, he had opened his own "Dance Club" and she had started to work there. At first it was just cage dancing, but about a year into it, he change the format to actual stripping. She was oppsed at first, but Rick promised her this was the ticket to her dreams, as she would quickly be able to save up enough money for the move to New York. At first she was leary of taking off her clothes, but as time went by she became quite comfortable with displaying herself to the men of the club, even enjoying the power it gave her, when all eyes were transfixed on her every move. Rick, of course loved it, and was fond of bragging to others that she was his. He also became more and more controlling as time went by. Every move she made seemed to be monitored by him, and their intimate relationship became almost none existant due to his drug abuse. Things just seemed to be spiraling out of control, and ultimately she had had enough of him, and decided to take what saving she had and leave. However, when Rick came home and found her packing he was furious. A fierce argument ensued, that culminated in a harsh beating that landed her in the hospital. She was devastated. Not only physically, but mentally as well. She had never envisioned herself as one of "those women", and decided that her relationship with Rick was over, but of course, he didn't give up on her that easily. When she got out of the hospital she found that he had cleared out her savings account, and refused to tell her where the money was. She was shattered. He forced her to continue to dance in the club, and the place become more and more seedy as time went by. She felt lost, directionless. Her relationship with Rick was over in her mind, but he refused to let her go, stalking her, keeping tabs on her money, never letting her have enough to get ahead and break away from him, and his business dealings became more and more shady. Ultimately, the club was raided by federal agents, and closed down. The penthouse apartment on the roof and all of their assets seized. Rick was convicted on drug pedalling, and having connections to organized crime. She herself was lucky to escape charges as he had used her name to open several accounts with hundreds of thousands of dollars in ill gotten funds from the sales of drugs and other black market commodities. She testified againt Rick at his trial, and he swore revenge. She was offered witness protection but she refused as she was done running scared, and she was more determined than ever to pursue her dreams, though broke, homeless and out of work, she didn't exactly know how. Ultimately, a bus ticket landed her in Dead End. She's taken up dancing at Lulu's where she's gained some popularity, and even placed second in the local beauty pagent. Old problems remain however. Her knees are certainly no better, and years of neglect have taken their toll, as almost every shift ends with her in great pain. Surgery seems inevitable, but she is hoping to find some alternative therapy. She's also looked into other ways of making income, and is in talks with a local film producer... and she's begun a relationship of sorts, and though he seems nice, it is clear by his past and his current connections, that he may be more dangerous to her than Rick ever was. |
