Definitely didn't go as planned ... well, there wasn't much of a plan until our domain vanished there for a bit! We use a .SL domain which is hosted by this little outfit out in Sierra Leone (hence .SL!) -- they have no automated system to notify when domains expire and such. Anyways, long story short, i got it back but it took 48 hrs along for the domain to propagate around the world.

Then, I took the forced downtime as a good excuse to finally move all the SL stuff I host on the web over to a dedicated server (much faster and powerful). The old host we were on wasn't too thrilled with the amount of bandwidth and processing power we were constantly whoring!

I still have a few more websites to migrate over, but when it's complete, i'll be able to breath again ... not a fan of all this IT stuff I gotta deal with lately; I'd rather be doing stuff in-world!
