Often the too early or to lazy arrival of backup was a reason of unhappiness in the past.
We have 911 calls bringing in the DEPD,
We have backup calls or panic buttons bringing in friends or gang members.

I remember more than one situation when The Russians attacked the parlor and got stuck in postorder with about 3-6 people and had to wait for their post to escape while more and more backup arrived. I also remember cops standing around and when I asked why they do not join in the scene I heard they got too often barked for jumping in too early.
So perhaps we can discuss a rule for any backup be it 911, texts, alarm buttons and so on.

1) Let us remember we play together and not against each other. A wise move may be to check defender and attacker WHEN backup would fit without possibly ruining a scene. If a scene is running and all have fun Lyss can bind her sandal booties for hours πŸ˜‰

2) Emote the backup call in your public post and do not hide. Do it clear to not have it being overseen. E.g. Buttons in Mamba businesses do make a Sound from now to possibly scare an attacker away.

3) Have some reason on the distance. If Lyss is in their private house she needs for longer to the parlor than if she is in the hideout.

4) Communicate to preparing or running backup like the responder in a 911. So I would type an emote for Lyss how she slips in her coat, grabs some tools, perhaps also informs someone else, locks the door as she leaves and so on…. That I would send to someone in the scene for him/her to post in local. So all people know backup is on the way.

5) Use / wait at least two (2) full post rounds of the main scene before you come in sight.

6) Remember it is about fun and not about winning, be friendly, be fair.

Well that are some thoughts but perhaps with your input we could make it a rule for all to provide fairness and reduce discussions and sources of unhappiness.
