Thomas enters the DEMH and nearly bumps into an old co-worker. They're shockingly free and ask him what happened to him and why he disappeared. He responds to them with a "Things got a little busy" but really he'd gotten use to drinking and spending countless hours in the Dark Room. The Colleague passes Thomas his old badge and tells him things haven't been the same since they worked together. Thomas takes the badge home with him where he sits in bed and looks at it, staring at it and contemplating the adventures of his past. Sharebear knew he was a doctor when she met him but never asked why he stopped practicing. She smiled when she saw the badge, Thomas grabbed his glasses from the nightstand and mentally then and there he decided he'd return to being called "DOCTOR Thomas Coy"
