Lyla was born in Bayamon, Cuba. When she was 4 her mother died. her father, stricken with grief over his wife's death, moved his daughter and son to Los Angeles. Desperate for money, he turned to growing marijuana and selling it for a profit When she 7, her brother was taken away from by the state for false abuse charges put on her father. When she was 9, her father was arrested. A few months later, he died in prison. Stricken with grief and left with no family but her crazy aunt, she moved in with a friend and learned to fend for herself on the streets of eastern LA. Despite a hard life, Lyla was always intelligent. She graduated the top of her class at a very early age, and had her masters in law by the time she was 20. Lyla's personality does not reflect her looks. She is somewhat guarded, with an edge. She isn't afraid to wield out her knife to some basket-case on the street, and stays true to those who do right by her. She is witty, cynical, sarcastic, but with good heart and good intentions. The most noticeable thing about Lyla upon first meeting her are her eyes, which despite her heavy Spanish heritage, are emerald green like that of an Irish beauty. She has a slight spanish accent, but only speaks English. Her temper and sharp tongue tend to be her downfall. She moved to DE after getting fed up with the bullshit of LA.
