The flighty bird has upped and flown the Blog coop.

Well, I couldn't read my own entries or anybody else's either, so what was the point of writing in grimy grey chalk on a black blackboard such scribblings as would never see the light of day? As Mullah Nasrudin would say when asked why he was searching in the street for the keys which he had dropped in his house - "Inside, it is too dark to see anything; out here, who knows what will turn up?".

And so the bird soars into the light...
