So I've kind of been around DE for a little bit now but I've never actually posted one of these.. can't hurt, right?

Jay (and it's preferred that way).. is a little all over the map, to say the least. Jay initially started off as a very weak, timid, sheltered girl who lived a life of abuse. Her backstory being an escape from her father who was a politician with a dark side. The downfall of her childhood being losing her brother and best friend, she finally threatened to extort her father. He managed to cover up the loss of his two children as a tragedy and gave Jay the promise that she could live if she never returned. So she set out, first ending up in Hathian but eventually moving to Dead End and residing there permanently. Her first job being at the Cinema, she just got her bearings in the town by working and trying just to get by. At this time she was generally a nobody and mostly hid in alleyways or at Lulu's getting so drunk she could barely walk.. a few drinking buddies her only companions. At the time she was being stalked and constantly harassed by a Deviant and nearly killed by them. She felt safe no where which caused her to quit her job at the Cinema and pretty much be a homeless bum.

Fast forward a bit to where all of that led her..sick of being a drunkass she made a decision to sober up one day and worked hard at it, of course with some new found support. All of the past experiences helped her turn a new leaf and she's hardly someone who is simply a victim now. Always having a short temper and a bit of a spark in her she started realizing she actually had to fight back and really stopped being afraid to do so. Around this time she met Lian who if you've seen Jay around, you've most likely witnessed the two together. Then it was Aisha who helped set her up with Doz Equis which was a huge change and out of the norm for Jay. By then, she'd grown pretty street smart-for her at least, and had some wits about her.. although the one thing that always leads Jay back to trouble is that she's just too damned nosy and can't keep her mouth shut.

With some hard work she went back to the Cinema and now manages it, all while helping Lida and Mela run Doz. Her demeanor is much different and it's totally all been through character development which is awesome! Love the story lines I've made here in DE. Jay is overall a loyal girl who's rough around the edges, has a mouth on her, and gets herself into a whole lot of shit.. but as the thinker and over-analzyer she is, she looks for solutions until she's found them.. and she's totally not afraid to brawl if she's gotta, which is something she'd never be able to say before. First glance she's pretty much sweet as a button.. then when you get to know her she surprises you and is overall pretty unpredictable. :p
