Izzy Verhoeven is a polite and socially well adjusted young woman who has cut corners her entire life in an ambitious attempt to feed her inflated ego and sense of entitlement. She has a conspiratorial mind, reads self-empowerment books, is an insufferable snob, and is hilariously unsuited to perform in her duties as a psychotherapist.

Izzy is a scheming charlatan, and pathological liar with good table manners and a friendly smile.

She's an ambitious narcissistic sociopath that thinks she's smarter than she really is, and definitely thinks she's better than you.

While technically she has a doctorate in psychology, purchased from the COSTCO Online University, she has only a tenuous grasp of the subject material. She lies and tells people she went to school in the Ivy League.

As a practicing psychotherapist, Izzy is as likely to conduct therapies she read about in the comments sections of questionable erotic blogs as she is to invent them whole cloth.

Sometimes her therapies are uselessly inappropriate, frequently they are deeply immoral, but they are always unprofessional. Izzy isn't interested in your mental health, she's interested in your wallet.

Izzy has been in Dead End for two weeks and has been busy meeting lots of new people. She was immediately drawn to the writings of one Laurent Heller, the founder of a book club called MindLight. Some talk about MindLight being a freaky cult, but Izzy has no sense of anything strange about them -- they’re just intelligent people like her that were drawn in by Heller’s infinite wisdom laid down in classic science fiction and non-fiction tomes.

Izzy is a creative and interesting character to roleplay with. Posts with Izzy in them aren’t about her 'winning', and she is a flawed and limited person without omniscient powers or great physical prowess.

Unfortunately, Izzy will not be around Dead End for the next two weeks while I’m on vacation. But checking forums will be easy for me while I’m away, so I thought I would include an example of a RP scene in the post below for your enjoyment. While it might appear TL;DR, I’d encourage you to read it. Maybe you'll want to meet Izzy IC sometime!

Izzy has made several acquaintances, a few friends, and even an enemy (scowls at Syn Rosa) over the last two weeks. It’s been really fun, and I’m excited to come back from vacation and for Izzy to open her private practice on a plot purchased in Dead Fall.

I’m sure Izzy really looks forward to listening to you prattle on about your silly problems, yawn, as she takes your money for dispensing horrible advice while filing her nails. I mean, I’m sure Izzy really looks forward to providing you with quality mental health services as the newest psychotherapist in town.
