DEPD Guide to Citations and Bail by your favorite desk Sergeant Bob.

Hello my dear DEPD Officer, as you can see I'm Desk sergeant Bob and I'll be helping you today with Citations and how to handle bail and prisoner release. With this guide you will get the steps how to handle these subjects without pissing off your Sergeants and above. And get your arse not fired! Very important seeing we get free donuts and coffee each day.

Firstly lets cover Citations.

___!! 1 CITATIONS

Citations are given out to people when they break the law but not into a sense of a jail time crime. This means, Polluting, Loitering, Trying to bribe you as a cop or parking there car wrong carrying weapons non concealed or being a public danger or endangering others. Yes its a public fine if someone is walking drunk over the street and causing accidents. There accountable for it. Now lets go through the steps an Officer needs to do to make Citation work. Firstly you enter the scene with the suspect. And then make an Emote that you write them a ticket. In this ticket you can do by the help of your hud.
Make sure you find out the suspect there name first. If someone is urinating in public you stop them. Address them and ask them for there name, Sadly a lot of Americans value there privacy and give you grief over this. But you can always threating them if they don't want to give you there ID you take them down town to check there ID there by finger prints. People always love a visit to the DEPD! So its a win-win! (Note: You need to have probably cause (or at least suspicion) to demand a name. However if you are stopping them for a crime or violation or a motor vehicle incident there is your cause right there. If it is just a mere encounter, the person has every right to refuse to give you a name.)
When you found out there name and details you go onto the next stage.

1) Press your Field Hud.
2) Select Citation.
3) Click the web url and fill in the citation information.
4) Then press submit. And your report is done.
5) Copy the page text into a neat citation card. And give it to the suspect and tell them in an emote the amount of the citation.
6) Repeating offenders get jail time or end up getting there car towed or get fined more heavier! Keep this in mind.

After this they will have about two weeks to pay there citation. Which they need to RP and bring the money to the station. When they go to the station they have to emote they want to pay there citation and as a Officer its your job to get it all sorted and make sure they pay the money for the citation! It works as following.

1) Click the Citation machine in the lobby.
2) It will then ask there USERNAME on channel /15
3) /15 <Username> And press enter.
4) You get an URL and click it.
5) Find the citation there paying for and put it on PAID/SERVED.
6) After you done that RP accepting the money and make them sign the paperwork. Have the Desk clerk take the money to the DEPD vault.

And thats all it is about Citation. There easy and kick little actions you do as a Police Officer. Remember, A good citation is your paycheck in the month!

___!! 2 BAIL

Bail is a bit harder to do, There are a lot of steps an Officer has to do before bail can be given to an inmate. Firstly and this is the most important part of Bail is you need to make sure that the police officer arresting the suspect is done with the inmate. This can be done by a simple IM to the police officer. !DO THIS! Its not an excuse to not do it and release there inmate and ruin there RP.

Secondly when the officer that arrested, or your the arresting officer you need to contact a judge IN CHARACTER. This means you need to make a phone call to a judge and ask them to set bail to a prisoner. When your requesting bail you need to have a report at hand with the charges and the judge might ask you for a criminal history of the inmate. !!YOU CANNOT SKIP THIS STEP!! If there no judges online the inmate HAS TO WAIT.

Thirdly after the Judge has told you the bail you tell the inmate there bail and let them IC call a friend or there family and let them bring in the bail money. The DEPD now accepts credit cards to! They can't bail themselves out. !!Nor can a police officer on duty bail out a prisoner!!

Fourthly. There friend/family has arrived and has the money, you emote out how much they need to pay, and make sure to count the money then you can get the inmate out of jail. Giving them there clothing and discharge papers. Its all PURE RP. There are no real note cards. But you make sure that they know COURT will still happen. And that the DA will contact them. DEPD does the arrest and COURT goes over the sentences that criminals get. DEPD does not do this!

Fifth and last the inmate is released and has there cuffs removed and escorted out the building. And is told if they commit another crime the bail goes to the county. Its important to tell them this. Bail money is a security to keep the criminal from misbehaving again.

Now once this has been RPed out with the Inmate you need to do the paperwork on the website. Unlike the machine states on the lobby desk. Citation/bail. Its NOT for the bail. The bail will be done through the DEPD Desktops.

1) First you click the DEPD Desktop
2) Secondly you click the button Roster.
3) Click the url and follow it.
4) Go to the inmate tab
5) Click on the active button for your inmate and make it !SERVED!
6) And your done!

___!! 3 RELEASING AN INMATE ONCE TIME IS UP!

Some Inmates wont get bail or pay for bail. But after there crime time is up, They want to get out to do what a criminal does best. Being a criminal! But before they can do that they need to be released and removed out the system!
There easy steps to do this. But first you RP releasing them

Firstly you give them back there clothing. This means there jeans or shirt, skirt dress etc. All the items that they wore when they went in. WITHOUT THEIR WEAPONS! There not given back. All weapons will be confiscated and destroyed!

Secondly once there done dressing up you take the jumper back and throw it in the laundry bin. This is important because we have a clean hygiene in the DEPD. Mind you we don't want inmates in smelly jumpers they get washed by inmates!

Thirdly, Once this is done you can cuff them and escort them upstairs. And let them sign there discharge paperwork. Mind you Its important to give them the carbine copy of there paper work. !THERE ARE NO REAL PAPERS ITS ALL RP!

Fourthly Then you escort them outside the parking lot. Here you get some options. Firstly you can uncuff them and release them. Which is the /good RP way/ But if the inmate pissed you off you can under the dead eye of the Camera give them a reminder to how retarded they are. By giving them a fist to the face. Mind you. Do keep in mind if someone sees you. Your screwed. Do keep this in mind. A witness is an angry copper. Ofcourse you could beat the witness up to but either way it will get into a nice beat up RP.

Now that you got rid of that pesky little inmate you need to do the administration side of an inmate. And it works the same as the bail for inmates. You use the DEPD Desktop computer.

1) First you click the DEPD Desktop
2) Secondly you click the button Roster.
3) Click the url and follow it.
4) Go to the innate tab
5) Click on the active button for your inmate and make it !SERVED!
6) And your done!

Now I hope this clears up any problems. And helps you have fun and no troubles getting inmates sorted out and citations. Thank you for your time and patience to read this.

Desk Sergeant Bob.
