wyatt-coysaidI realize this will open a can of worms, but lets open it, if nothing else to do a self evaluation of ourselves, and enhance the roleplay at the sim. I have seen so much as of late, which bothers me, both from new people, and from "leaders" which have brought me to the the point of wondering if people see what they are doing. To see somethings that even I say and do, makes me think of myself that I have stepped beyond the limits of realistic roleplay, and its time to double check myself. The long titles of a list of injuries that would certainly slow a normal person down, dont seem to bother some, and their list of injuries and titler grows longer. Its not realistic, and its knowing that its not realistic, that helps your character, and those who interact with you, enjoy roleplay. The "never lose" or show weakness attitude that some have here is in my eyes, completly overdone. Take the time to learn to lose, broaden your roleplay, be the victim and not the victor. Doing this will allow you to use all that this sim has to offer, doctors, nurses, hospital admins, the list is long. No one would win every battle in real life, and I for one would not even want to, the experienced gained by being both victim and victor, will only help you, and help others. Dead End is a urban roleplay sim, your character should be realistic. We dont allow shape shifters, unreal supernatual powers, or any other kind of supreme being. To base your character, on something that is fictional or seen in a movie, and then bring it into roleplay, is a difficult, and leads to confusion of what is believable and what is not believable. Fictional characters or things seen in a movie, are not real, they are not believable. Sorry to say, but if you have multiple injuries, and are not at your peak in health, despite what you have seen in a movie, doesnt happen realistically. It doesnt take a person long to read a profile, to determine your roleplay limits. The same can be said of what your characters bio is. The lists of great accomplishments, and the extreme fighting championships, reflect to a person, what you are trying to convey, your tough, we get it. The tough talk about your past life where you come from, how many you have killed does dictate to others who your character is, is that the point? and is it realistic? Its about making your character believable, to others, I challenge you all to take a look at your character, and see what the message is that your trying to convey, not saying you cannot do what you wish with your character, I simply am asking one question, IS IT BELIEVABLE? Now that the can of worms has been opened, remember this is a discussion, not picking on anyone, or anything, its simply a challenge to tighten up your roleplay skills, and review. Thanks for reading |
