After some discussion with Fae last week, I pondered on the way we've setup our group proposal system. Looking at the state of the RP, I feel we are lacking on the faction front, as well as making the process too tedious/intimidating for players who are interested in renting a shop for an IC business of their own.

With that in mind, I cleaned up the entire Group Proposal system yesterday; it is more minimized and direct in the information we care about... here is what you need to know:

• Private Business Registration / Shop Rental Requests - This option on the portal leads users to a minimized version of the proposal form - it's more like a "request" than a proposal. When the form is submitted, admins should review the proposal, if it looks good and the person checks out from a security standpoint, and post it onto the LEADER forum for feedback if there are any known issues about the individual. Give it 24-48 hours before moving forward and accepting it. Basically, there isn't the community peer review required - instead, as part of the requirement of renting a business, they need to hold a "grand opening" event and schedule it on the calendar so the community will learn about new business that way. I really want to expedite this process and get someone going within 48-72 hours of submitting because there really isn't any reason for the process to be longer.
• Propose Official Business Leadership - This is spelled out more clearly for players who are interested in becoming part of staff and taking on a bigger role. The questions are cleaned up but the process remains the same.
• Faction Proposal - Same thing as the business proposal above.

Next steps include updating the dashboard that admins use to track and post this stuff to the website. I'm also going to figure out a way to streamline the proposal guidelines and shop rental requests in-world. (ie. update all the in-world rent boxes to point to the new requirement page, put signs up in the ooc area and around town about proposing a faction, posting up existing faction graphics in the OOC area with more info, updating the DE website to include active factions and their contact/active members, etc.)
