The Exiled
By jaylah sass

TYPE: Street Gang

MEMBERS: chanda feiri, vyctymm resident

BACKGROUND: How did they form? After all, no one decides to be exiled on their own. Coming together from different walks of life, The Exiled were just that. Out casted from society whether that be in regards to their social status, their lifestyle, or merely the choices that landed them there. It had been a storm that was brewing for some time now, it came as no surprise. It all started with Peninnah and her meeting of the Diaz pair, Cesar and Priscilla. A former Adherent of Belial, the woman had been feeling like the black sheep for some time. Meeting with the pair she was given a promise of family and an intent to escape to become involved with their gang, Mano De La Muerte. Roisin was not far behind, struggling with always being the catalyst for fights and quarrels within the cult. There was no denying that this was the beginning of the end. As things changed however, a change in leadership for the Adherents, Cesar and Priscilla being cut off from their formal ties with the gang and a sentence in prison, the plans unfolded and unraveled. All was well for a while, one may even note peaceful, and it seemed like things would continue on this way. They didn't. As with all stories, things change, and inner turmoil spiraled as things became tense within the Adherent group. The end result was a split - Peninnah, and Roi would be forcibly removed from the cult, two long standing 'family members' who couldn't seem to get their heads around the fact that not all in the group were created equal, that with a change in ownership came a change in ideals and they were no longer up to par. The only way out of the cult being death, both died and were revived, born anew with a prospect of freedom. Already having reconnected with Priscilla and Cesar who had been handed their own strife, and on their own quest for ongoing power in the streets, it only was natural the groups would finally truly connect. While they would have to start from the bottom so to speak, the unique characteristic about this group was the fact that they were already all established in their own right - now coming to mesh that together in the name of seeking more power, all while accepting the fact that they had been rejected and condemned from something, all while being so incredibly different from each other at the same time. The Exiled are just that - the exiled. There are no fancy names, practices, religions or ideologies to be found here. A group of people have banned together to take on the world, okay.. maybe just their corner of it. They are ambiguous in the fact that they do not refer to themselves a The Exiled.. they are every sense of the words. Rejects, freaks, outcasts, however one want to label them, they take it in stride and will probably slip it off of their own tongues much sooner than you can call it. It is a badge of honor, one that not many can claim. And just what exactly do they want to do with that corner of the world? They want to own it, in every sense of the word. With their status, they use that to guide them and steer them in to the direction of power - however it may fit them best. No one is exempt from being taken on by this group as a challenge or a roadblock, however it unfolds. What do you expect when you take a group of already practiced criminals with no morals? Going back to their roots, whether they be natural or ones that were planted in them, they do not shy away from chaos. Each playing a particular part or role in their schemes, whether that be hands on, mental magicians or just a deep pocket and a source for an alibi. Things are ever changing in their game. They are reckless while practiced and have no respect for others, they aim to take what they want for the keepings. To put it bluntly, expect crime and a surplus of it ranging from petty to major. Sexual crimes, assault, manipulation, fraud and larceny just to name a few, willing to step on toes and put on the pressure where it is needed to prove themselves to anyone and everyone. Storytellers, web weavers, however you want to put it - spinning things to their liking. What is a better task for someone rejected than to impact as many lives as possible? They don't intend to take the easy way out, the more mind fucking and complex they can make things, the more ties they can create between people who have been pulled in to their chaos - quite frankly the better. So how do they do it? -Drugs -Sex -Status Without giving too much away, look at the characters involved. Cesar and Scilla already have a steady drug trade and the members use themselves, which can create plenty of RP. Sex has always been used as a tool - and this is not necessarily in the ways you may think. Lust and sexuality are used to manipulate, to gain information. And finally status. Each of these characters have status in their own right that they use to intertwine with their goals and other characters. Peni is city council by fraudulent means, so she will try to use that to pull strings. Roisin is a former doctor, and a business owner. Cesar and Scilla are known and feared criminals. Street names and ranks - ((While this group runs more on a level of equality, ranks are mainly designed to help describe the length of the relationship and trust with Peni as the 'lead')) The Pariah - Peni The shameless. Peni finds herself leading a group of labeled 'misfits' due to her deep seeded feelings about being one. Using her social status as fraudulent city council, she will be a gatherer of information, a contact, and a resource for their quest for power and control. Prides herself on weaving webs and complexities between different people. The Wicked - Roisin The unabashed. They are jaded, experienced and well aware of how the rest of the world sees them. They are loyal to those like them unabashedly, and with time have earned their keep. Adorned with trust and responsibility. The Damned - Cesar, Cilla The uninhibited. They have had a taste of life as an exiled and they want more, embracing it. They are respected as equals in the group and are treated as family, but may not have been with the rest of the group for the same length of time. The Bitter - Recruits The sour. They may not just be getting their taste of what it is like on this side of society, but they are still finding themselves and their place within the chaos. As far as street names go, while these are more to be used between themselves for anonymity and alibi, what better names for a group that lives in their own demented world then from fables themselves? Snow - Peni Cruella - Roisin Lil Red - Priscilla Big Bad Wolf - Cesar

UNIQUE: As the lead of the Dark Room, debauchery and manipulation has already been a common theme. This is Peni's safe hub, her haven, and a place Roisin frequents, and that Cesar and Cilla have visited for both business and pleasure for a while. It's only natural to continue this theme, it will likely be their gathering point, their hideout, knowing here they have the most control and least possible chance at consequence. People that come here can expect to be interacted with. That is something I can promise - how they will be interacted with will vary, depending on that player and the flow of the RP. Faction members will not be required to work here but can, or they can simply use it as a makeshift safe zone - even if it will be well known where they lie. The potential for this could be endless. Since it is an official business as it is, this leaves room for the general public to enter. And that is what we want! We want to impact as many people as possible in RP, whether it be innocents, deviants, denizens. The whole point of this group as they are shameless and uninhibited. So maybe you come in to the Dark Room and you end up getting told some information that ties your character in to a web or a story, or maybe you end up getting victimized. Or maybe we end up getting victimized! The amount of RP is endless and since the Dark Room is already supposed to be an IC 'safe spot' for crime and debauchery (Peni turns a blind eye to these things on purpose) it's really a place that these types of activities can flourish while still having the opportunity to get the cops involved, and for us to 'lose'.

FLAW: The flaw with this group is also one of their traits, status and visibility. Since they are already well known characters with pasts and presence in the city, this makes it harder for them to get away with things without taking notice. Playing in to that as well is the amount of reckless, uninhibited activity all of the characters listed take part of on a daily basis. While some may try to be more private or tip toe, it just simply doesn't always work this way. You're working with four large dominant personalities, characters who are loud and crass and want things their way. This causes problems, egos will get in the way and it will leave evidence and trails of ties to them - while their goal is power, they are reckless, and it will be one of the things that works against them consistently. The other flaw is clearly that this group are 'the exiled' for a reason - they have all been rejected from things, and people know that they are not good hearted, which may make their quests to get what they want from others all the more difficult.

POTENTIAL ENEMY: As you can see from this proposal, we already have a plot intertwining with the cult, since two of the members are ex cult. We definitely plan to continue this with them and give the cult some long term RP and drama - since they are currently the largest faction on sim it will be nice to have tension working with them. But beyond that, we really want to spread RP to anyone in the city and bring them in to the fold. We individually as players already have enemies, friends, or people ICly that can be used to drive plot and spread plot throughout the city, whether that be by having a stranger gather information, having strangers run drugs or get them addicted to drugs, manipulating other characters in to do things good or evil, etc. It all just depends on the flow of the RP and where it goes but the goal is to reach as many people as possible and to be visible.

EXPERIENCE:I currently run the Dark Room and have for two years. I also help host lots of different events on SIM and have engaged in quite a few large scale plots. I am non-judgmental and easily approachable, as is the whole group, and truly here to write with anyone and everyone.

IDEAS:By writing with them, interacting with them and of course OOC hellos!
