BACKGROUND: Si-Fan is the is a US branch of an old Chinese gang, The extension will turn more into a family cartel with light oversight from over seas. Since it is not headed by blood Yhengs, it gives us a good excuse why it is always thirsty for money and respect. The last few weeks have been hard to the Yheng family, many have been injured, attacked or kidnapped. The point was reached when Meite Yheng, together with her betrothed Leslie Byrne and her friend and enforcer Lyssandra Ritter, had decided to build structures to fight back and better the families position in the city. Because of the traditional nature of the gang they will respect the hierarchy of Elders treating them like the board of directors of the group. The money comes through girls and gambling since the businesses included are the Casino and the massage parlor. This faction will not dabble in drugs…at least in the first months. While it is obvious how gambling rackets operate and create money, the prostitution side of the business needs more explaining. First, new girls have to be brought into the ranks and perhaps some of those girls must first be persuaded to find their luck under this new factions wings. We will use the usual methods of coercion, but also encourage girls to rack up "gambling debts" which get re-payed with sexual service. The girls will have to be trained and tutored in many ways of behavior, social skills, and pleasing for the purposes of using their charms on the costumers. The whores will also be used to gain as much information as possible - information that can be used for blackmail or just be sold. Such blackmail could see prominent members of other gangs/businesses forced into prostitution to promote conflict. Even without that blackmail aspect, the whoring of the girls would provide many options for interesting roleplay that can involve many other businesses such as the Easy 8, the Jade´s and almost every business in the RLD.

UNIQUE: Normal business operations and meetings will be held out of the Hedonist Casino and all girl trafficking will go through the Massage Parlor. These business are run by founding members of the group and are logically placed in the city to achieve the maximum amount of RP and opportunity to pick up new players.

FLAW: One flaw is that the businesses included are stretched over the city. Another is that the Yheng name is well known and not entirely beloved. The main thing is that the faction will be run by no Yheng by blood. Meite is adopted, Leslie her betrothed, Princess Yheng is adopted, and Lyss is the families enforcer, all now trying to gain the respect of the true family – that will also mean the faction will never be rich as they let money flow back to China and so this faction will always be hungry.

POTENTIAL ENEMY: Of course the DEPD (at least those not corrupted), further possibly the Hellcats and Adherents. It will have to be seen how the Syndicate will see this faction, such things are difficult to plan and should be developed in fluid roleplay, they could turn out as enemies due to the criminal activities or as allies against the big Circus. The Circus Maximus as they dominate the RLD and provide the drugs we need to keep girls calm, could provide a loose ally. Of course any business can be interesting for interaction as long as it can be used to hide prostitution or has aspects interesting enough for the faction leaders to send a girl as spy. We also hope to make use of the asylum for training and mind control.

EXPERIENCE:Mei is the adoptive Daughter of Ming Yheng, she is and has work closely with her mother to learn the family and the Yheng way of handling affairs. She is known to run hot and cold but she strives to to carry herself and her families business in a way that is above all others. While she is young she is ambitious to prove herself not only to her elders but to the rest of the family. The recent attacks on the family have pushed Mei to take a stand, working with her lover and siblings to find and ultimately avenge the damage done to her family, she will not sleep until she command the respect of the Yheng name once again. Her vision is build an organization that would make her mother proud of her, and direct the rest of the family to build a strong future for the family. The Elder of the Si-Fan travelled from Hong Kong to Deadend to restore the balance. He picked Mei to establish a stronghold for the Si-Fan here in Deadend as a protective faction for the Yheng family.

IDEAS:To achieve its goals the faction needs of course girls as well as security staff to collect money from the girls and also ensure those girls safety. That provides an easy way for new players in DE to get into the roleplay, subby chars of both sexes can be forced to sell their bodies for the gang, dom-characters of both sexes can be hired to enforce the business interests whenever and however possible. Especially the training aspect of the girls makes it easy to tutor new players in proper emoting and the finer arts of roleplay as well as helping them to become an active part of the community.
