I've been working up a brain storm (now my brain hurts) on how we can pick up on injury related calls, get DEMH some more patients and the PD some more cases. Aside from the obvious (Calling 911 to report injured victims and crimes) I realized we haven't focused on one aspect....

The criminals.

Criminals get hurt during crime. Robberies can go bad, rape victims can fight back, bad shit can happen to the poor.. innocent.. criminal.. To relieve that, I have an idea..

I want to start a discretion hotline. The basic idea is that you use 911 to make a call that goes DIRECTLY to the firehouse. As soon as the call is posted in 911 chat, an FD member will take the call in an IM (Rather than bog down 911). This is so that criminals can report their own injuries without worry of cops arriving. The FD member will respond with no lights or sirens as to not tip off anybody and will NOT place the vehicle in primary sight of the road, causing folks to gather. (Of course, the best option here is house calls. Get somewhere safe and have us meet.) Higher ranking FD members can bring their trucks and a medic bag.. so on..

The criminal is then treated there by FD unless they need DEMH help. If the criminal needs to be seen by DEMH, the FD member will have a contact within DEMH to treat the criminal with no cop involvement.. The criminal is then released asap with whatever needs to be prescribed...

So how does this help the PD? Here's where the fun begins. The reports made by the FD members will be seen by the Chief only (of course, this won't be icly known to anybody SAVE for the FD members.) At each one of these calls, the criminal will be asked if they are ok OOCly with the information gained ICly can be shared (secretly) to Tarra.. If yes, GREAT! If not, no problem.. To all the yes' though... This will help build some criminal cases... Information can be as a vague as "Peni had a stab wound to her right thigh..." which can give the cops a chance to scour their own reported incidents or do some police work to dig up what the hell happened.. all the way to a song-bird criminal who tells the valiant tale of their wounds... to which, the cops can then take a case and make an arrest..

It's just an idea and so far the PD and one DEMH person is on-board.. thoughts? Suggestions? interested parties? I'll place an ad asap if interested!
