AnonymoussaidWhile I will not be releasing the names of individuals on the blacklist to the public I want to make sure people know that the DEPD does have a blacklist. There are players that, as a group, the DEPD will not recognize. This means that people on that blacklist will not be arrested or acknowledged by officers on duty. Off-duty officers may roleplay with them if they wish, but the blacklisted players will receive no RP from on-duty officers. This also means that if those individuals are being attacked or harmed the DEPD will not respond to 911 calls to assist them. While I understand that this may result in RP where officers flat out ignore RP happening right in front of them and appear "negligent", I want everyone to understand that this is an OOC decision so please be understanding that if an officer says that they will not RP with someone that it's not a reflection of IC negligence. This also goes for individuals that a member of the DEPD will not roleplay with individually. We all have people we don't want to roleplay with and DEPD officers are no different. Please understand and respect these boundaries where possible. If you have a concern about a situation or an officer OOCly please contact me and I will see if I can help figure it out. Regarding the DEPD "NPCs" - I've recently been privy to a few instances where I've seen/heard of NPC officers doing bad deeds and then people coming back on the DEPD for it. While I am all for the DEPD having corrupt officers doing naughty things, I don't want to have to run defense against NPC offenses too. That just undermines everything I am trying to do with the DEPD. If you want to have an NPC officer doing something, please ask a Sergeant, Lieutenant, or myself about it before just playing it out. This also includes articles to the paper since I've heard of a few times where people came up with cases and NPCs for the Daily. If you want to write something like that, run it my me first, please. I have no issue with people wanting to come up with things like that, just make sure I'm aware of it and I can at least offer you some guidance and get a chance to veto it if there's something that's inaccurate. |
