AnonymoussaidAlong the lines of "Where is DE?" A very expansive topic and one that'll probably spark much debate. One of the main things about placing Dead End in a non-fictional state/country is that people will automatically assume it's under the laws governing that place. I personally think that trying to use the same laws that govern a real place in DE is a bit of a mistake. The greatest example of this comes from trying to RP with/as the DEPD. We're not real police officers, we haven't been trained to know the ins and outs of law and consituional stuff, plus we often arrest only in the sense that it's an 'official kidnapping'. More often than not the RP (and by that i mean the 'reality' within DE) is often at logger heads with the laws that govern the US, Europe etc... So is it a case of making people aware that the law is fluid here? Working around the issues that citing DE in the US and the laws that imposes is something that needs to be done with consideration for the mechanics of the RP? Or does DE needs it's own, if somewhat basic, statue of law or at least a proper protocol for the DEPD to act within and a set of DE's own rights for the public involved with the police? |
