BACKGROUND: Description: The pawnshop will offer to buy goods, sell second hand items and also loan money. Of course it will be a front for all sorts of illegal activities. First of all the shop will fence stolen goods, but we will also offer to exchange those burner phones everybody keeps tossing in the river or get rid of a murder weapon. So called 'hot' items will be stored until they are cooled off and can be sold. Fake records are kept to keep the depd off our back. The real core of the business however will be money lending. or loan sharking. Everybody can lend money at our place, no questions asked. But the interest is sky high and if the money can't be returned in time people can expect a visit from some 'nice' people. With this business me and my friends like to add something else to the rp possibilities, more criminal activities of course but also a new kind of roleplay. In a city like DE getting money should really be problematic. By offering the money lending business it will become more interesting to be poor and get rp out of that. The business will be backed up by the savings of years of pickpocketing and thefts, horded and accumulated towards just this kind of opportunity. Other than that we will always look for new allies as running a pawn business can be quite hazardous of course. So we expect rp with all the factions in DE to evolve rapidly enough. Xelan is a young girl, not someone who you'd expect to run a business like this. But as she has lived on the streets for many years, having become an expert in pickpocketing and pilfering, she knows the value of goods and can be a tough negotiator. For the more difficult sides of the business she will always need backup of course. Employees will have to deal with Xelan as their direct boss though lower management positions will become available as needed. We will make a price list for common goods so all employees will play consistently. We will also keep ooc records of bought and sold items. Jobs offered: clerk, fixer, debt collector
