<b>The Dark Room </b>

BACKGROUND: I have managed the Dark Room under Uncle Bob for the past 4 months. Through that time I have found that a regular presence of staff increases traffic through the Red Light district. With that in mind I will continue to hold regular monthly events, as well as try to maintain a structured staff presence through the weekend hours. Under Uncle Bob's direction I coordinated both the Slave Auction and the Play Party. I would continue to hold events as these, ideas currently being worked on is a Swingers Party. The direction of the bar being sexual in nature I would potentially also try to collaborate with the Porn Studio and possibly do 'live taping' or feature nights with various porn stars, both known through DE, but also in the RL such as Ron Jeremy. Including new players I would engage them personally and encourage their presence throughout DE. This could be something as simple as handing out flyers for our events, or encouraging their help on busier shifts when they are available.

UNIQUE: While working at the Dark Room, our reputation has grown through presence, strong rp, and encouraged player involvement in stories and dark deeds. The Dark Room is synonymous with this, as well as being an environment where players can go to lose their inhibitions, in fact, it is encouraged. We offer a discreet retreat into the darker side of sexual desire, maintaining personal identity as well as have 'masquerades' for our larger events to offer anonymity to those whose reputations should not be identified with a 'deviant club'. Promotion and ingenuity is also key. I will create flyers to be 'handed out' for our regular events, as well as being advertised in the paper, and make use of the posters lining the streets.

EXPERIENCE:In Land of Nor I was a leader in 4 different factions through the course of my time there. I also managed a club where weekly themed events were held. Outside of an rp sim I also have been a burlesque dancer for The Cherry Pops, and have DJed in sl for 3+ years. In my RL I own a DJ company and do this as a living. In my four months managing the Dark Room I have always been patient, eager to help out, and friendly. And as endorsed by Uncle Bob, "Tell them that son of a bitch Uncle Bob was lucky to have you." Of course, he might have been drunk when he said that....

IDEAS:The first thing to do will be to maintain the rosters and reach out to new players who apply to work. Next, I will encourage and invite them to the bar, potentially coordinating with established 'deviant' players who might be willing to come in and rp with them. For our regular events I will 'schedule' doormen, bouncers, bartenders, servers, dancers, and toys. The staffing needs in itself for events help ensure that all are included. In the past I have worked with several new players in this manner, helping them establish and develop rp in the sim with Dark Room as well as introducing them to other players, and involving them in the events. I am patient and inclusive, and make a marked effort reaching out to newer players in rp as I myself very much remembering beginning rp in DE and not knowing a soul. It was my predecessor, Uncle Bob, who reached out to me and encouraged rp, and gave me a sense of belonging. To this say I thank him for what he brought to me in this sim, and hope to provide others with that sense of welcome and want.

OTHER:I would like to have a Bondage Night for the grand re-opening. This is a theme that I think transcends through the walls of the Dark Room and is something that many players in our community are interested in. For the event I would hold two scenes involving bondage and play; ideally one with a male dominant, one with a female dominate. For the purpose of the scenes I would like one to feature ropes while the other can be a harness or latex. I would encourage fetish wear and masks for the event, and give out prizes for participation or volunteers from SL stores such as Archdemon, Dark Addicitions, or XTC Leather.
