GROUP NAME: The Bad Meme Internet Cafe

BACKSTORY: With the big move of the advertising agency PINK! down the road, a newly vacant building stands at the edge of the square, waiting for a business to take residence. After some quiet chat behind closed doors with the right people, the idea got out that an internet cafe might be an interesting and fresh idea in Dead End. Something new and exciting, where people can come, meet, hang out, surf the web, check their email, make massive illegal online transactions and upload the newest porn for their viewing pleasure.

UNIQUE: We'd like The Bad Meme to be that cozy little hole in the wall place everyone knows- maybe for you it's a bookstore, or a coffee shop, a bar or a restaurant. But you go there and it's like walking into your second home. On the outside, it looks like a happy little place to hang out, chill, relax. It has the computers, and feels a little like a bookstore. The undercurrents are much more sobering. Right now the weapons business was a mobile business. In character, we are trying to make this a gang oriented business for the Dead Rabbits. It's a unique need that many people in this community have. Quietly, on the side we plan to move the weapons business to the back alleys, because the Asian district is the perfect backdrop for such transactions. Well away from prying eyes and the police. With Doz taking such a large share of the crime, we'd also like to use this business to a lesser extent as a place to introduce people to the Rabbits, and hopefully do some recruiting to even out the lopsided numbers our gangs have. For this particular business, Mabel will "Own" the store, and Keiran will be working the illegal side, with no paperwork to his name.

EXP:Between Mabel and Keiran, we have several years of extensive roleplaying experience. We've both been a part of the Dead End community for around two years each, and are well acquainted with the people, businesses and aspects of the community.

IDEAS:With constant access to the internet, we could do so much with this place. The first thing is we want a place people can come talk, come sit, use the space. We also want to build a team that has a lasting affect and positive affect on the community. Business with strong teams obviously tend to prosper. This business is really about the people. While we would like to see where our original ideas go, if we think they're not working, we can change up our game plan and try a different route. We also brainstormed using the internet access to track people's online activities and even offer hacking and illegal online activities for hire. Things that people tend not to think about when it comes to technology. We're excited to bring the community such a versatile business and hope people see this as an outlet for new and unique roleplay. We also would like to partner in RP with Uilliam Causten of the Tarot and Occult Bookstore to promote both businesses in RP and to encourage those who are finding it difficult to establish their characters within the DE universe.

OTHER:It is often difficult to find your footing in a new RP environment. Above all else, Mabel and Keiran hope to provide a venue where character stories can be expanded and new players can find a place to ease into RP within Dead End. Sometimes, great RP needs just a little spark to ignite, and this is the goal of the Bad Meme.
