<b>The Red Herring</b>

BACKGROUND: The RH has been a staple in DE for a very long time, and Ren did an outstanding job running it recently. I would love to continue to implement various themes already in place, such as Thong Thursdays and Topless Tuesdays. I also would definitely keep much of the menu the same, including the special items. I would like to partner up with Sugar Rush for a portion of this as well, and ‘import’ some special treats, that would change likely monthly-I feel as though it would be similar to the monthly drink at Lulu’s. Something fun, in season, depending on what time of year it is. For example, I would consider a Strawberry Fields cupcake for July, that just might have a little ecstasy swirled into the strawberry buttercream frosting. I would like to sell these to guests ‘unknowingly’ (of course it would be advertised and known oocly) so that they may ‘eat at their own risk’ sort of thing. I would also like to team up with Fresh Foods in regards to garnering produce for smoothies, both fruit and vegetable alike. I’d like to add them to the menu and include ‘boosters’, like you would see at Smoothie King or something of the like. Also, in regards to the coffee, I would like to garner coffee beans laced with speed, for those that need an extra strong kick-no promises to how they react to it though! (these will be purchased from Sugar Rush as well, as Andi is closely affiliated with them, thanks to the Syndicate.) As far as events go, I would like to run a ‘coffee cartel’ night, inviting everyone to dress in their best ganster wear. Ideally I would like to team up with another local business to do so, perhaps Lulu’s or Slim Goodies, where we could offer an IC prize for best costume, such as a years supply of free coffee. Additionally, I would like to do something I’ve seen at the local coffee shop, and ‘spotlight’ a local business once a month. If they had an event going on, we could put the ad poster up. And if one of their employees came in with their employee ID, or in uniform, they would receive a free pastry (this isn’t to say you couldn’t lie about it every month and so on, Andi doesn’t pay that close attention!) Andi would fit in there very easily, I like to think. She's addicted to coffee and sugar, so selling them would be an easy transition. She has good relationships with many other business owners in town, which would make it easy to collaborate events with them. In regards to new employees, I would like to set up a 'training' system, so to speak. Granted this won't work with everyone, but I would like to personally spend some time behind the counter with the new employees, 'teaching' them how to make drinks, showing them the kitchens, etc. (Management can also do this when I am unavailable.) The Red Herring would become my front for the gang as well. The Dojo, while having a very uplifting beginning, has tapered off, and while I do maintain it and offer events, it still sees very little RP. Moving the front to the RH would be an ideal for me, because I would be able to export some of the illegal drugs that Sugar Rush pedals, on a further scale. I would be letting the Dojo go should this proposal be approved. Andi’s list of “people to catch” is very long, so I could definitely see her attempting to drug someone with her coffee, in order to catch them easier.

UNIQUE: Generally, the Red Herring already stands out as a staple in DE.I would maintain the weekly events that have been in place for a while now (IE topless tuesday and thong thursday) while implementing my own ideas and events, such as the coffee cartel night described above, and perhaps "wicked Wednesdays," where citizens can bring in their tickets or parole orders and get a free coffee just for being wicked. This would also stand to let Andi know who's been bad in town, and make her job much easier. I would also like to increase the criminal aspects of the business. Where before, it was casually known you could get a special brownie, I would like to make the knowledge more well-known about what is offered, and create a sort of back-door business. Have someone you want knocked out for a while? Come see Andi and she'll whip up some cupcakes that'll knock them on their ass.

EXPERIENCE:I have been a leader in DE for quite some time now. I love the sim, never leave it, and dedicate a lot of my time in helping to make it a more fun place for everybody.

IDEAS:As mentioned above, if they sign up as employees, I'd like them to do a little bit of 'training'. This would allow them interaction with guests, as well as the training employee, and get them accustomed to the shop and people in it. As far as new players on the sim who come in, they could be welcomed with a simple cup of coffee, or something more, depending on what else they decided to eat-could open up some fun doors for them that way, as well as helping them get acquainted to RP in DE.

OTHER:For a grand re-opening, I would love to have a summer block party. Iced coffees, cupcakes, brownies, all that good stuff. Invite people to wear bikinis and swim trunks, whatever they want, and maybe get with Slim Goodies to cater some burgers.
