BACKGROUND: I am thinking your everyday salon offering cuts, waxes (facial, since we lack a private area), shampoo, style, color, manicures, and pedicures. I feel like the location of the salon, would be a perfect place to set up shop, and bring in role-play. Starting out I am thinking of going with a legit business, no side business, just your everyday salon. This can change, I'm not planning on starting my own illegal activity, but if someone needs help in their business, we all have a price. I think a legit salon could be a perfect place for city gossip. In reality many people use their stylist as their personal therapist, and are willing to share so much with them. This could really add to anyone's story. I have several ideas for different events to hold. I would love to do monthly parties mini hair shows, to show off new styles. Have a wedding event, to show off wedding styles, there are so many different types of parties you could do. Even offer a sports night, do half price cuts for men and women, wings, and beer. Later on even sponsor a Dead End Pageant, of course it would need to be held in another location, the salon is so small. As for the Grand Opening I am thinking of having a meet and greet, sort of thing. You come for drinks, meet the owner and stylist, and get a free consultation for hair and beauty. We can also do free waxing for the night, and offer special coupons if you 'schedule' a future appointment. We will of course offer specials each week. Having a certain service marked down. Go out in the community and give out business cards, and coupons. If role-play is lacking, work on things to pull people in to the business. I would love to Network with other businesses in Dead End. Work together on ways to promote each others business. If you have an event coming up, we can do hair and makeup for your employees, give raffle gifts, ect. Once the salon is up and going, with employees. My goal is to add services, like doing in home services. You call we come to your house, for manicures, pedicures, waxes (offering all types of waxing), anything the employee is willing to do. I know there is another salon on sim Do or Dye. I would love to get with Risk and discuss some ideas to help increase role-play for both our salons. We could do a Hair-Off, play up the rivalry thing. I would also love to start a 'beauty school' in the salon. Offer weekly or bi-weekly class, for anyone who would be interest. It could also be a great way to help someone new to role-play or the sim, meet people and get involved.

EXPERIENCE:OOC I got my cosmetology license years ago, although I currently don't practice. I do know the ends and outs of working in a salon. IC: Harmony has been working at the Inn and has finally saved up some extra cash to open her own business. She has had her eye on this spot since coming to Dead End, and is finally ready to venture out on her own. I'm trying to evolve my character, and would love to get more involved with the sim.
