BACKSTORY: Proposal for the Lucky 8’s Pool Hall or Rental Shop Public View Function: We would use the pool hall as a local watering hole for bikers and other players looking for a cold drink and laid back time. Since the pool hall right now is kind of dead space, special events would be planned atleast once a month to promote rp and foot traffic. Things like wet t-shirt contest, rp’d pool tournaments, and dart tournaments. Behind the Scenes Function: The pool hall would specialize in delivering packages and/or items to and from the residence of Dead End, with no questions asked. This means they would deliver drugs, money, bombs, severed body parts, etc…there is nothing we wouldn’t deliver because we will never know what’s in the package. The pool hall would also be used as a pick-up location, where customers could leave their items to be picked up by someone using a code word. There would be three main employment positions for Lucky 8’s. The first would be bartender. They would be responsible for taking care of the bar while on duty as well as taking delivery request from customers. The seoond would be waitress. They would serve customer drink order and keep them entertained. The third job would be runners. They would be responsible for making deliveries. These would be people who were kind of adrenaline junkies and enjoyed the thrill of possibly being caught or having to run from the police or other more unsavory players. How deliveries would work: A customer would come into the bar and ask the bartender for a special drink, which would be a code word for needing a package sent. The bartender would take them down to the stock room and pull out a box ((rez a box)). The customer would write up a note card with the contents of the box and slip it inside of the box, ((using an allow inventory drop script))…this way no one at Lucky 8’s ever knows what is really in the box, unless they open it or it is opened by the cops. The bartender will take down on the delivery information for the customer, but the customer doesn’t have to give their name just pay the fees. Once the transaction is complete, a runner would be paged and the box picked up for delivery. Our runner's would never meet the original customer and so could never give them up if caught. The same could be done if a customer was wanting a letter sent. We currently already have 4 people interested in working the jobs of bartender and runners.

UNIQUE: How will this create rp: Dead End is a great place to roleplay, but a lot of the shops are geared only towards the sex theme of the sim. We would like to use Lucky 8’s to promote more of the criminal/ drug aspect of the sim, but all sorts of players would benefit from something like this…serial killers sending the body parts of their victims to the police, to something a simple as some dude who had a crush on a girl sending her an anonymous love letter. Another great part about this idea is that a lot of players don’t want their characters pulling jail time and our runners would be ok with getting caught with the packages because that’s what they would be signing up for when hired. This idea would also create some storylines between other players. Player who received packages would have to try and investigate to find out who sent them their packages, and the cops who intercept deliveries would be in the same boat…having to figure out first where the delivery came from and then who was the original customer. I also think this would be a great way to involve our legal department giving them actual players who would use them to be bailed out of jail. I really think this could be a great and unique idea for the sim and already have a group of DE roleplayer who would be willing to get the idea up and running.

EXP:I have been in SL for over 7yrs now, and have rp'd in a variety of different environments. I am also the designer and creator of the medieval Dubhan sims that are touching the DE sim on the SL map, and therefore have alot of experience managing rp'ers, groups, and helping to generate roleplay. I have recently stepped down from all of my duties in Dubhan and am looking for something on a much smaller level to help create and facilitate rp in this community that I have grown so very fond of. I like to consider myself a pretty friendly person and will bend over backwards to help new and old players with anything that I can. I'm also a decent builder, specializing in sculpty and mesh builds.

IDEAS:The whole concept of a delievery service would be different from anything that I personally have seen in DE so far, and I think it will appeal to alot of different types of players in the sim. I'd like to see some specialized events held in the pool hall, that would help promote the business as a whole and give rp'ers somewhere different to hang out.

OTHER:All I can really say is that I'm the kind of person who will put their everything into a project. When I say I'm going to do something...I do it, and I'm very good at coming up with unique ideas that will generate rp for other players. I'll use NPC's to create storylines if necessary to get buzz going around rp. My main goal is not to create story for myself, but for everyone else around me. That is what I love most about roleplaying...helping others develope their characters.
