DEFD

BACKGROUND: The FD is known for it's quick response times (Unless we're drunk) and it's eagerness to fix up you and yours.. It's also known for putting out any of the fires the DE crazies decide to set.. These are things that are, obviously, going to stay. However, during my time in the FD I've noticed a few things that were missing.. Community outreach.. patrols.. It's not all the time a junkie wants to dial 911 for an overdose (or can).. Or maybe there's a fire that we need to snuff out (Say if a camp of homeless folks decide to build one in a non-regulated area.) On top of that, fire inspections.. This was something that myself and Vie have both been attempting to bring into the group for sometime now. Within the actually group, playing games with probies to get them used to runs (as opposed to just handing them a guide and making them wash trucks.) Gearing up and going out, based off clues to get them to use their wits.. experiencing situations that they wouldn't normally unless in the actual grit of it.. This way, it gives them a chance to experience the situation and not freeze up the first time around.. Outreach within the community for helping DEMH with blood drives, flu shots or even setting up a time where folks who can't afford a hospital visit can come on down and get checked out by their neighborhood paramedics. These are just a small amount of things I'd guide the FD and it's members in doing.

UNIQUE: The FD Has always stood out with it's flashy lights and loud sirens.. However, one major lacking was the community outreach, as well as, the rp within the walls of the FD.. Creating the family unity that is always there... Driving more RP between members of the FD.. And even going out and getting creative with the PD and DEMH.. Helping businesses in DE with events where maybe a medic needs to be on standby..

EXPERIENCE:I ran the 8s for nearly 2 years and, during its peak, it was amazing. Constant roleplay and always coming up with new and creative ideas to drive RP. However, as of late, my focus has been on the FD and the PD. Striving to bring in new RP and keep what we have, there.. I will, however, be giving up the 8s in order to focus on my work at the FD. As hard as it will be, I feel someone else can step up and do a better job at running her than I can.. Especially if I'm taking on something this big..

IDEAS:Engaging new players is something I've constantly done as a staff member on the sim.. Simply coming up and rp'ing, being welcoming and helping them out with questions they may have.. as far as in the business, getting them active and keeping them active.. instead of standing around and waiting for calls, we do the probie games.. involving them in various things we set up around the sim.. it'll get 'em used to the sim, itself, while getting them ready for the real deal.

OTHER:Being I am co-lead, Vie has something special and awesome planned for the Grand re-opening.
