BACKGROUND: DE Mêlée would not be a gym, it's sole purpose would be to train people in self defense, fight training to become a better fighter, and street fighting. The goal of the business would be to offer a place beyond Primal Fitness which is more of a gym setting to more of a “Fight Club” feel. People could come to exercise before a training session but the bottom and dirty of it would people would come there to learn how to be tougher fighters, or able to defend themselves or just to practice and keep their “edge”. Also a source of underground weapons purchasing -wink wink- If you can get them to sell to you. Events Ideas: DE Mêlée Fight Tournament – Sign up and get a scheduled Fight Time on a bi-weekly tournament to fight in DE! DE Mêlée Exhibition Match – Come watch an exhibition match between two opponents with great fighting abilities with running commentary- make bets on who you think will win! DE Mêlée Self Defense Class What I would like to do with the store to get RP: Self Defense Classes: Make your attacker work at it – It's more fun if you don't fall over screaming in the first 2 seconds. Fight Training: For those who already know how to fight and want to keep their edge Fight Events: Exhibition Matches, Fight Tournaments, Self Defense Classes Possible: Rookie Cop Training? How to take down someone without using a taser? (Just an idea, but could be fun) Tournament Jacket & Training Jackets: A free mesh jacket for everyone who comes to training at the store, the winner of a tournament gets a special limited edition jacket that only tournament winners would receive. Training Jackets would be random but have various funny sayings Examples: "What are you going to do, bleed on me?" "Suck it up buttercup" "If your not bleeding, on fire, or dying, chill out" Reasons it's Needed: Primal Fitness fills a nitch- but not totally. A lot of players are uncomfortable rping combat because it's unfamiliar and they may not have had the chance to be trained in how to do so. What is uncomfortable usually isn't fun. The Exhibiton Matches would also allow for more RP storylines- legal fighting that could be bet on, like boxing matches. Tournaments would have bragging rights, as well as a sort of “Toughness Badge” won because do you really want to mess with someone who won a fight tournament? Probably not, also there is no location that I know of that sells “blackmarket” weapons, or even legal self defense items such as mace, nor any place where the PD could come and train specifically- such as “Rookies need to go to DE Mêlée for Officer Training Course 101” could be fun!

EXPERIENCE:I've ran a fight training place in two sims, both long standing in Second Life, one for over two years, and one for over a year. It's a niche that is not filled in DE, and one that I find myself aching to fill. My character is a former military anti-terrorism group trained woman, obsessed with keeping herself fit, and keeping her own fighting edge. ICLY it makes a great deal of sense, and I love the interaction that comes from the immersion of rping a place like this! Plus, I'm a self defense instructor-volunteer locally! I know how to do it in real life and I enjoy it very much
