BACKGROUND: Honestly, I think the Daily News was already on a good footing under Cara's leadership, and only needs perhaps someone with more time available to run it. For new events I would try to add more social events to the paper similar to the Valentines Day one when appropriate, but also perhaps try to see if someone could be recruited to do a Dear Abbey type of column. More Editor's Opinion pieces as well, and an attempt to find more people to steer them into more investigative journalism of various stories on the sim, while letting them know OOC of course that they should be ready to accept consequences to prevent stories from breaking too soon for storylines. There are numerous positions for unique roles within the paper in addition to the typical journalist/photographer role, soliciting ads/business, etc.

UNIQUE: The Daily already stands out from others, so this isn't difficult. The paper should typically be both a window into what has relatively recently happened at the sim already, and as well in a position that is really on nobody's side but the "public's", and so somewhat of an adversary to everyone, but not in the violent sense. This makes it unique as an entity at DE, and hopefully I can help continue to promote that.

EXPERIENCE:Well, I've been a journalist for the paper since I started here at DE and written a number of stories about various events. So I have a pretty good idea of how the paper works in general. As for leadership, Aria is ICly a fairly smart woman even if she plays up the blondeness, and I dont' think will have a problem ICly with the role.

IDEAS:ICly as much as possible, either through direct RP, or IMs that are phone/text messages. Hopefully I can encourage them to find new stories and take on some of the unique roles the paper has to offer!

OTHER:The paper never really shuts down, so the change in editor would simply be probably a new article from the new editor, with promises of regular editorials in the future and various other changes.
