DE Daily Newspaper

BACKGROUND: The newspaper, like in real life, should be the source of news and information, whether false, real or gossip. My Goal is to take my RL knowledge and pump it into the paper to make it a more viable source of information for the town. So many have written great plots and stories and they have fallen flat due to lack of newspaper coverage. I cannot guarantee I can be every where all the time but i will sure try to make sure events are covered and that the paper is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication the players of Dead End bring. I plan to work with the other businesses to provide advertising and job fairs as monthly events to help bring in players and help them learn about the sim and meet others. While my character has been a lawyer for some time, she is getting disgruntled with the struggle to make ends meet. There are some plot lines working (which i don't want to get to far into) that are going to force her into a job change. This opening has provided me as a player the opportunity to do something I have longed to do in Dead End and to further help grow the sim I call home.

UNIQUE: The paper in itself is already unique. My plan is to grow it, help reporters find ways to get the stories they want and to cover the happenings around the sim. the Daily should be a reflection of Dead End and the players that make it great.

EXPERIENCE:I am a journalist in Real Life and I feel my experiences and knowledge with the news industry could really help to get the paper off the ground. I have been around De for a long time now and I have seen the ebbs and flows, and I do know the newspaper is a good source of information for new and old players. I have lead businesses in the past as well. While I am currently the co-lead of the law offices I am struggling to find ways to make my RP work. I have loved every moment of it but I feel given my RL experiences, being a writer and a journalist is more fitting and more worth the time I dedicate to the sim.

IDEAS:The newspaper is a source of information, it helps to tell others about the sim and what happens, like real life it is a story telling element that can help others gauge what is going on. As Editor I would hope i could use the paper to help guide new players with stories about businesses and jobs as well as get reporters interested in writing and digging for stories in order to grow their own.

OTHER:For a grand re-re-re-re-re-re-opening (total bob's burgers reference) I would more than likely have a block party, a way for people to meet me and the staff and learn about the daily and its past.
