BACKSTORY: Hippolytus had grown tired of his job as a construction worker, as the pay was too low for the work done. Thinking on ways to make money, he decided to return to the job that had paid his way through college. That was when the idea struck him; why not open his own strip club in DE? There were many places for women to dance in DE, but very few for men. Deciding to capitalize on this, he made up his mind to open a male revue club. Blue Velvet, a place where women (and gay men) could sit down, unwind, drink, and watch men dance for their pleasure. Taking out a loan and selling some of his possessions, Hippolytus went to work to build his club. He knew that the bulk of his money would not come from the drinks, but from the private shows his customers purchased. He needed to find a way to make the women WANT to pay for private shows. He then stumbled upon the idea of spiking the drinks with aphrodisiacs, to make the horny customers even hornier. This would (hopefully) make the customer purchase a private shows. What the customers and the dancers did once in the VIP rooms was up to them. As long as no one got hurt, it was all harmless fun. The aim of Blue Velvet is to bring a Chippendales/Magic Mike type operation to DE. There will be no cover charge and the drinks will be relatively inexpensive, the aim is to sell “private shows” in the VIP rooms (paid for in RP currency, not in Lindens). I have events like theme nights planned, nights where the dancers dress up to a certain theme, then get naked. I plan on working with the other businesses in DE, use them as my suppliers. Lulu’s, for instance, could supply Blue Velvet with the alcohol. The aphrodisiacs could be purchased from either Dos Equis or the Rabbits, or both, why not? Blue Velvet could be a great way for newbies to DE to start their RP, and for long time residents to spice up their existing RP. Newbies wouldn’t have to stand around and wait for someone to RP with them; they could simply walk in to Blue Velvet and either bang a stripper or become one! Other positions available would include waiters, bartenders and bouncers.

UNIQUE: There are few places in DE where stripping is the main focus, I aim to change that. There are also very few "club" type establsiments in DE. Besides, every city needs at least one strip club, right?

EXP:Hippolytus is an alt of someone who has been in DE for a good long while. I spoke with Kahlen Vaniva and she will be able to vouche for my identity. I chose Hip and not my main avie for this because he has a background in stripping (even though he's a personal trainer by profession) I am ameable, good natured and always willing to go with the flow. I may not be a para-Rper like Warumono(yes Waru, I envy your RP skills!!!), but I do try and provide possitive and fun RP.

IDEAS:Theme nights will be a big feature in Blue Velvet, although it wont be an everyday thing. To create a starting off point for newbies to DE and to enhance the RP of existing members. A strip club could be a portal to heaven or a gate to hell, it is all up to the players to decide. That is the magic of RP, it is free-flowing and takes even veterans by surprise sometimes.

OTHER:DE is not just about sex and drugs, but about the stories (of the sex and drugs, ha ha), stories created by very imaginative people who log on to have fun. Blue Velvet will have it's share of those stories, a perfect fit for DE.
