Hello all.. been some great threads on the forums lately. Just wanted to chime in with a bit of a suggestion for everyone.

Now firstly I want to clear up this is not a complaint by any means. Just my own personal opinion and something I've always been passionate about. Anyone on the sim who actually knows me will know this is always something I've advocated and have tried to do..

We all get in our storylines and naturally, with this, people you start to play with more and more often.. cliques occur. It's only natural. I truly don't think there's anything wrong with having a group of friends you like to RP with often, or RPing with whoever seems to drive your story most.

But, even doing this there are always ways to extend that RP throughout the sim, and bring in some of the lesser known, or newer characters as well.

So if you are RPing and you see maybe a newer player or a player you have not interacted with in chat range or near by.. I would highly recommend at least acknowledging them in your post. It can be something as simple as looking their way and letting them know, "Hey, this scene is not off limits to you. Feel free to post in." I do believe a lot of the time some younger players will hang back for almost a fear of not wanting to interrupt.

I know you guys have mentors still these days and that's all great, so I'm not really touching on that as an OOC regard.. I have seen a couple very new and novice RP'ers pop up on sim in the last week and everyone has been really kind to them, and I can already see their RP improving.

I'm more speaking of ICly here.. interacting with your surroundings. Honestly doing this it's just a great chance to spread RP in general throughout the sim. You can traumatize other characters just by them witnessing things, or maybe one comment you make to them ruins their day and then, I dunno.. they go and watch the world burn. Lol. Anyways, hopefully you get the idea. Creating more cohesive RP when two scenes are going on right next to each other, just having those players notice each other and what the other characters are doing can create a whole new storyline right there..

Always challenge yourself to branch out, as you never know what you may find. One of the best storylines I ever had in DE was with a very quiet player who mostly kept to themselves.

Cheers and happy writing, ya'll..
