I thought of keeping this negative experience to myself, but it has happened twice to me in the short time since I've been back to DE, and I imagine it must happen to a lot of new people on the sim as well, more than likely turning them off to RP on the sim. Since I do not know everyone's alts, I thought I'd post this here.

I've been approached for RP by two different people now, only to discover AFTER rp'ing with them that there were OOC/RL jealousy issues and, as a result, have had IMs and passive aggressive RP comments that had nothing to do with the actual RP going on.

Don't blame the newcomer for personal issues that may be going on between you and your significant other. In both cases I've walked away....but it's quite stressful for the person who simply thought they were role playing. No one wants to make OOC enemies (at least I don't).
