I have been thinking on this topic a lot since I put in a proposal to open a tarot card reading and occult bookstore in a small shop in DE. Mind you, it is a simple idea as far as what it is IC. A core idea is to have a fun activity be available for players, a genuine tarot card reading done IC for a character. (With about exactly as much consequence as a tarot reading has in the real world. It only 'matters' as much as you 'believe' in it, if at all.) However, I also would like to hear from other DE players on what can a IC business do to increase your own sense of immersion? What must it avoid to kill it, particularly in DE? I have a vision for the shop, and how I feel it fits into DE laid out in my proposal. But I'd also like to hear from others in DE for what they have found makes them want to interact with an IC business here, and what makes them stay away.
