BACKSTORY: Tainted Gypsy Rentals was born over a bottle of bourbon passed back and forth between Flak and Shade down at Harry's Bar one night after work. They both agreed that investing in the land would be a good idea, but... what would they do with it after that? Looking at the buildings on the land they were considering, they decided that rental units would probably be the most profitable. From there, Tainted Gypsy Rentals became a reality as the two women signed the papers in a week or so. Since then, Tainted Gypsy Rentals has become quite successful in Dead Drop, providing high quality rentals of businesses and apartments in addition to land sales (OOCly they rent the space from us).

UNIQUE: TGR is the only IC rentals business in DE that I can think of. We will be ICly providing real estate brokerage (and OOCly a way to cheaply build a modest house or business; we have the building materials etc. so you just pay rent), rentals, and business locations to parties that are looking to gain a foothold in DE. OOCly, we own two adjacent parcels in Dead Drop and are considering expanding our business as the opprotunity presents itself.

EXP:Shade and I have been RPing together since we both landed in Dead End and have a close friendship. OOCly, she and I have both run full roleplay communities in the past. I currently run the PD and have a good deal of RL, IC, and OOC leadership experience - as does Shade. We also work beautifully together and have a positive partnership.

IDEAS:We have run Tainted Gypsy Rentals OOCly for several months and our renters have been very satisfied with the service. We also are doing our best to draw RP out into Dead Drop and are hoping to create a good community that doesn't in any way detract from DE proper, but provides its own, unique charm. It also will create more housing for RPers in an affordable way. It's less expensive than the DE apartments, partially due to the fact that it's not in DE proper, but we've had no complaints from those that rent with us. We also hope that this IC enterprise will provide a way for people to make deals to buy/sell businesses and rental units in DE itself (ICly, of course, not OOCly - if someone wants to put their business up for sale ICly they can do it through TGR, but OOCly it'd be fully with the rental system in DE). This may provide a deeper dimension of RP for those that run, buy, and otherwise are engaged in business in DE, DD, and DF.
