The ride into town wasn't the most comfortable of trips I'd been on. The cushions on that bus hurt like hell. I could almost feel the wiring prodding through it and poking at my ass. Maybe it was just the tension talking, but when I stared out the window at the city up ahead, I couldn't help but realize maybe I stumbled into something that I didn't think too rationally on. Just from the sight of the buildings alone, I could tell there were dark corners in this place. Corners with new faces and, well.. there was going to have to come a time for me to face them. Settling in. That's the hardest part.. but it only looks hard on the eyes for me. Let's just say I'm familiar with befriending the monsters, the stragglers, and all the other riffraffs that walk the streets. Hell, it was my job once.

Hi. My name's Aleck. I come from a place far from here, but not so different. I'm well acquainted with the curb, both walking it and having my face meet it. I've had ups and down just like every one you. I just arrived, and I'm looking for work so I can settle down properly. The motel is my friend. I've previous experiencing tending the needs of the inebriated. In other words, I can pour a mean cocktail. I'd preferably like to bartend again, but I never know what other connections I make. Maybe I'll enter another field. Could be a good-standing career with the police, or medicine.. or could even find something a little more oblivious to every good citizen's eye.
