Been back a little while now, really feeling my way back into RPing here and getting used to the new nuisances that come with being an established but pretty much unknown character in a sim full of, to me, new people.

But I can see a stumbling block up ahead and it's getting closer and closer, so i was hoping you guys could help me out with suggestions over which direction to take my story when the time is right.

As the forum account suggests my current character is/was someone else, I deleted the original account for a multitude of reasons but found I wanted to keep the same character. So I just wrote up in her IC background an update that explains the change of name/identity.

The original plan was to simply carry on with this new name, only Lu and a few other people who knew the old her knowing her real identity and past. The main thrust of her RP now is to get herself sorted with a police job again to allow her to clear the records of her past, the DEPD realistically being the only place that still holds anything on her old identity with the ability to cross check her against it, DNA, fingerprints, etc...

The plan was to delete all of those and have her start fresh as Lucile, making sure to silence anyone who knows the old her.

As I've RPed into this storyline though I've found that there's another option that is starting to seem more like-able to me and that is she does enough to her records to be able to take her old name back, with the blemishes of the past, the kind of things that could probably land her up in jail for the rest of her natural life removed to give her a fresh start without the need for a whole new name.

So the real question I want to ask is what people think, would it be better for me to RP her flushing the history down the pan and remaining as Lucile Morrison or simply changing the records to bring back Lucy Morrisey and have all (most) of her history come to the fore again?

I can't decide which one would work best for me and others, it feels like a choice that is six of one and a half dozen of the other.
