BACKSTORY: The idea basically came out when I thought of how powerful a tool information can be, the sim seems to rely heavily on physical confrontation, however I want to mix it up a bit and lean more towards extortion and blackmail. The agenda of the PI is pretty straightforward, profit much like any business, the means are not intended to be legal, in fact that is what will set it apart from the police, it will be a place to turn to when the customer feels the police cannot be of help. The main agenda will be information gathering and selling to the highest bidder or using such information to gather contracts and or profit, Imagine several roleplay confrontations over a span of weeks perhaps even months and the PI has gathered enough data to work out the corrupted police in the force, instead of outing such police like a good samaritan, the PI would choose through anonymous means to sell the information back to them ((risky business but this is just an example, it would all rely on the community as a whole))

UNIQUE: What set's the PI apart is that it is completely neutral, it will work for the highest business not for a specific group, whether criminals or police, if the information is there it will attempt to milk either party, however this would all be done by anonymous means. The PI in general will work as a noir style PI as the front, take on cases that police may not be able to do legally or rather may not be bothered with, cheating husbands, insurance claims, petty crimes.

EXP:I have had some experience running my own sim which had a decent following but had to shut it down due to $$ reasons, which is a little embarrasing, although in DE I did have a drug den which I ran for awhile on an old character in china town and made an alliance with the owner of titty twister, though much has changed since then. I ran the parish group in Midian for quite some time as well, though my focus is on DE and someone I trusted is now running such role. I am quite excited and dedicated to this role as well as my character and I feel that is a good quality to have, being passionate about it.

IDEAS:Characters can walk in at any time and present a case, I do not wish to undermine the authority so it will only be cases that they are unable to do legally or are the ones listed before and not considered police jurisdiction. Investigations will take place that involves the community, I do wish to have a team going at some point for information gathering, that may be regarded as spies, deals can be made between groups in terms of events and information can be exchanged. like gritty crime films information is a commodity and I seek to fully use this business to milk such a commodity, DE has many secrets. In terms of information metagaming will be highly discouraged, all information is to be done IC and will not be shared OOC, as this can break the immersion and considered bad etiquette The main events that will run will do with three main agendas: Extortion, blackmail and intimidation.

OTHER:I feel that DE has alot to hide, its people do at least and a business completely neutral and for its own agenda could be interesting, it means nobody will be off limits, it wont be working for a specific group so it wont negate roleplay from anyone, information can be just as good a surplus as drugs, in the proper hands it can be dangerous.
