So it's been a couple weeks since we've opened. There's still a long laundry list of things to do, but hopefully we'll be able to tackle them before the year ends. I turned down the temperature in the sim; I hope people are enjoying the chilly weather ๐ Last night, Kait and I went through and started putting down some toys in basements. We still have a more areas to do, but plenty to get people started (Lulu basement, Gas Station cellar, Motel rooms, DEPD, ruins in downtown, etc.).
I haven't heard any complaints about the role system since our last discussion; I've been checking on the new system and it's running stable. In fact, we have quite a few people using it (mostly newcomers obviously), so that's great to see. In fact, just peeking at the statistics, we had just over 980 -unique- avatars visit in the last week alone. That's actually amazing compared to stats on other sims. Our OOC group is about to cross over 100 members and the RP group has seen a growth of over 280 members in the past couple weeks.
I'm having some issues with the security setup since we combined teams across communities. The system tripled in size technically. Before moving forward with that, we're going to be making adjustments so we scale gracefully.
IMO, things are going strong. As usual, priority remains on improving/sustaining the RP in the sim. We haven't advertised the shop rentals yet, but when we do, we're putting priority on bringing more IC shops. We might run a few deals to fill up the last spots -- please contact Kait or myself if you're interested.
That's the update on my end ...
How are things so far, in your opinion? I haven't gotten a chance to immerse myself into the RP, but I've been observing. You guys are the ones out there though, in the middle of it all, so please share your observations ๐
